How far in advance

to you purchase your airline tickets? There are some pretty good deals on Southwest right now for December but I am leery of buying so far in advance. I am having visions of them going bankrupt and then I am out $$$$$ for six tickets. Any advice or words of wisdom?

If you are happy with the $$$ I would purchase NOW!!!! I did the best I could do with December, its not great but not horrible either. I was alright with it so we bought, that is all you can do with airfare. If you are alright with the cost buy because it usually doesn't go down.

With Southwest I would not worry as much as I would with the Airtran's and JetBlue's of the world. They are a pretty stable company. One that actually consistently makes money vs. always being in the red.

If you are happy with the fare, purchase now.
