How far in advance to reserve golf carts?

Hi - I'm wondering how far in advance you need to reserve golf carts? I know the answer is as soon as possible but I'm wondering how far out they generally run out of reservations. We're planning a multi-family trip next June and I can't get everyone else to sit down with calendars yet to confirm dates and I'm wondering whether we're going to be sunk on trying to get a cart.

Thanks, that's definitely what we'll do. I'm just wondering whether it will be too late by the time we figure out when to go. In other words, does anyone know whether 9 months out is too late to reserve a cart? 6 months? What I'm trying to get a grip on is whether I should start really harassing my family now to make a decision about when to go yet or whether we'll be okay for a little while longer...

I just called a couple of weeks ago for a cart in October with no problem. You can always cancel if you have to. You have 24 hours before you are scheduled to pick it up to cancel.

We stayed there from July 9th -13th and I think we called about 45-60 days out and were able to get one without a problem. But when we were returning it, the CM told us to make sure to make reservations for our next trip as soon as possible!

When renting golf carts, are the renters allow to have their way with it and run it in any manner they please? It would be worth a trip for me just for the fun to be had on golf carts. First thing to go has to be the governor.

I have a "modified" Club Car and a 2003 Yamaha with some other modifications. I would post pictures but an error message comes up.
