How far in advance does DLR release hours

Park hours and show times? I need to plan and I can not plan without info! Call me impatient but WDW has hours for Sept. already so I am not sure why DLR waits so long to release info for summer.

Somebody on one of the other posts said six weeks. They currently have until May 2 up, which is 7 weeks from today. I believe that's the general timeframe (guaranteed 6 weeks, possibly a week or two extra). I'm trying hard to be patient for our mid-May trip...just a couple more weeks and the days should start to appear!

They don't release them as far out as WDW does, but this link shows what the hours were for the prior year, which you can use to plan your trip.

Here are some more links for historical park hours:

The reason WDW releases park hours 6 months in advance is that they take dining reservations 6 months in advance - and those ADRs are in very high demand.

DLR takes reservations 2 months in advance and the demand is much, much lower. Hence there is no pressing need to publish park hours so far in advance.

Doesn't that just frustrate you to pieces? Me too! :rotfl:

I'm a WDW old-schooler gettng ready for DLR trip #1 this summer. My mind is trained to be thinking about park days, ADRs, EMH plans, parade/forwork showings, etc at this point. Over the past few weeks I have come to be at peace about how DLR does things. It's all good -just different. :woohoo:

I may need to write up a special thread on this but you two are like Pavlov's dogs trained by WDW to salivate at a Disney calendar! WDW vets constantly get all wrapped up about calendars but believe me, if Disneyland Resort had a calendar out right now there is very little you could do with it!

Dinining reservations? Not until two months ahead. And as I said in such low demand that 2 months is not really necessary. One week ahead of time is usually more than sufficient.

Which parks on which days? No need to pick that now. Parkhopping is so easy you can change your mind on the spot if you want with no impact.

Park hours? Will not change much from last year. Plus, not much you can do with those anyways.

Entertainment? Same as last year with the addition of World of Color.

For the most part the only reason to know the schedule far in advance is just to have a warm comfortable feeling maybe. But you can't do anything with it. At DLR you do not need it.

Relax and be happy that DLR does not demand as much of you as WDW!

In the summer you can plan on Disneyland being open from 8am-12am. DCA usually runs 10a-10pm, but will likely have WoC shows on later. Early Morning hours are Sat, Sun, Tues, Thurs.

Usually the only exceptions are in early June, before the crowds roll in.

Hope this helps.
