Your family trip will be around the same time as ours. I booked our room reservations December of last year, so a little over a year and a half ahead of time. I'll be looking for airfare as soon as the 330 day mark comes around and as soon as good price comes out, I'm grabbing it! Planning is the only way I can keep my sanity until next year. Tomorrow it'll be exactly a year before we're in the air on our way to our first trip to WDW!:Pinkbounc I've even picked out most of the restaurants I need to make PSs for and have a rough itinerary. Booked the limo that will take us to LAX last week too! Am I just a little anxious? Nah....:teeth:

So how far ahead do most people plan?

If your boyfriend thinks your crazy, maybe you need a new boyfriend. :jester:We always plan a year in advance and get good airfares at the times we want. We get the rental car an watch the rates all year to try to get a better one. We are DVC members, so we book the resort 11 months out.

We usually book our resort a year in advance and our airfare as well. We don't plan our our days. We just do what we feel like doing when we get there. However, we do plan a couple of meals because of PS such as Chef Mickey's and CRT.

Well.....I haven't even gone on my upcoming trip yet, and I'm already planning the next one! We leave in about a month for BCV; and dh just told me to book BWI for next October!:bounce:

I usually have my hotel/air done about 6 months ahead, but I never plan which days for which parks. Weather is too unpredictable, and maybe one day the family wants to sleep in, or just hang at the pool in the afternoon, whatever. I find that flexability is the key to really having a good time. Save time management for the real world, not Disney World!

Of couse, some might say that Disney World is the real world ;)
