I was wondering how far in advance you can book a villa? We just returned from our trip and I am starting to think about a trip for next year. I was thinking the end June at either BCV or BWV, when I went to the disney website to get an idea of prices, all the villas come up unavailable. Do you think they are all booked already or is June 2005 too far away?

It is far to early to book a villa. DVC members get the ability to book only 11 months ahead, so the time period you're looking at DVC members just are able to book. DVC members own 94% of the resorts, so there is usually limited availability for cash customers. You'll have to keep checking, but if you truly want to stay at a DVC resort, you should look into renting points from a DVC member.

Since you already know where you want to stay I would try renting points from a DVC Member over on the DIS board. Sunday-Thursday the rate would be much lower then CRO's rate.

I'm positive they're not already booked. I know we made our reservations about 7 months in advance. I don't know how much earlier than that you can book.

We considered changing DVC resorts less than a month before our stay and there was still plenty of availability. This was during June, which is a fairly busy time.

If you're including weekends in your stay, keep an eye out for discounts. It turned out to be less expensive for us to reserve through WDW than to rent. When we factored in the savings of not paying extra for daily maid service, the more liberal cancellation and reservation changes policy and the security of reserving directly through WDW, it turned out to be a much better deal.

I just booked the BWV for May 2005 and we are not dvc members. She did say it was starting to get booked up and we really wanted to stay there and we need the 2 brm because my in-laws are coming with us. As soon as i heard that I booked right away as we did not want to miss out.

Call and ask. When I check rates on the website, I get the feeling that they give me back rooms that they are trying to book :) , not necessarially the ones I want. CRO has a set amount of villas they rent out for $- once they are booked, they have no more. They can book them as far in advance as any other room in WDW. If they are booked, then you need to look at renting points from a DVC member.
