How Far from Kidani room to Jiko

We are staying at AKL for the first time starting this Sunday (3/13). We have 2 reservations at Jiko. The map looks like it may be a long walk (depending on the room). Can anyone tell me how far it is?

Jiko is in the main Jambo House building, right next to Boma. From lobby to lobby I believe it is about a half mile walk. So depending on where your room is it could be closer or further. We never have a problem with the walk, actually rather enjoy it after eating. However, if you don't want to walk it you can take a bus from Kidani (take any of the park buses) to Jambo. Then take the DTD bus back to Kidani after dinner from Jambo. Enjoy your Jiko meals!! We have eaten there twice, and it was the best meal we have had on property both times! At one point I believe someone said they also had a shuttle van running between the two, but someone would have to help me confirm that.

From main entrance to main entrance it's about 1/2 a mile. Probably a 10 minute walk max. You can take any theme park bus from Kidani which will stop at Jambo first. To get from Jambo to Kidani you can take the Downtown Disney bus.

It you walk, it can be anywhere from 1/4 mile to about 4/5 mile depending on where your room is in Kidani. If you are near the end of the south wing at Kidani, you will be in rooms closest to Jambo and you can take an elevator down to street level near your room and walk is only about 1/4 mile. From lobby it is about 1/2 mile; from the rooms at the end of the north wing of Kidani it is about 4/5 of a mile. From near the lobby you can take the bus and they sometimes have a shuttle running between buildings.

Thanks for the information - 1/2 mile walk while at Disney does not sound so bad! We will enjoy AK!

We just returned from a stay at Kidani and the walk honestly did not not feel too bad..I just asked my hubby and he is having a hard time believing it was a 1/2 mile...LOL..We walked it a few times to eat at Mara and had breakfast at Boma which was fantastic btw...I think it would have taken us longer to wait for the bus then it did to just walk over

We are also checking into Kidani this Sunday!! We love Kidani! Maybe we will see you there.

When we were there at Christmas, they had a shuttle going back and forth between Kidani and Jambo, but it did not have any sort of schedule. If you ask the Valets or Bellhops, they will let you know about when the next one should be there. Or as others have said, you can take any theme park bus over to Jambo.

They do have a shuttle but the walk is not that bad..................
