How far from grocery store?

Where is the nearest "real" grocery store to the HIFS. I want to get some snacks and such the night we come in or first thing in the morning and do not want to pay convenience store prices. Thanks.

Hi,

I'm not sure if this is the closest but it is the one we found and visited during our visit in January.

There is a Publix Supermarket on Vineland Rd., about 3 miles south of the hotel.

Quick directions - Exit the hotel on the gateway exit, turn right to the stoplight, turn right and follow this road almost to Irlo Bronson Memorial Highway. The Publix is on your left right near the corner. This a major intersection so keep alert for the turn to the shopping area. I think it is about 3 miles.

They staff was helpful and friendly when we were there. Hope this is helpful.

You could also go to the Publix on South International. To go to this one, go out the back way of HIFS (which is S. Int'l drive) and take a right. Just follow the road. You will pass the Gaylord Palms and see the Publix on the left hand side soon after....is probably about a mile.

I wish we had known about the one on S. International. I looked it up on mapquest and it is about 2.5 miles from HIFS, but there is so little traffic on S. International it is probably easier to get in and out. We will probably go to this Publix on our next trip.
