3 miles. Takes me ~10 minutes on a good day and 15 on a bad day. I have made it just over 5 minutes when there was no school and I hit all 5 green lights.

DH's commute is less than 25 feet from the bedroom to the home office. Unless he swings by the kitchen for a Diet Dr. Pepper.

About once a month he drives into Phx roughly 25 miles away.

Distance wise, it is @ 23 miles. But because I commute from the suburbs to mid town Manhattan, I take the train instead of driving. My commute is @ 55 minutes door to door on the train, on a normal day.

About 8 miles which takes me 12-15 minutes depending on the traffic lights. Could take longer if I get stopped by a train too. I pass my husband's work on the way to mine which was great when he broke his ankle and couldn't drive for awhile so I was his taxi.

0 miles. I work from home. I could not handle a long commute. The time away from my kids would suck the joy out of life.

My office is 13 - 15 minutes from my house, about 4 miles away. Although I do occasionally work from home, like today.

Mine's about 40 miles if I were to drive. But I take the train and subway, and it takes me an hour. Doesn't really bother me. I work from home 2-3 days a week.

My job's about 10 miles away, but I'm in Jersey and work in Philly. Without traffic/on the weekend and in the evening, it takes about 15-20 minutes to get into the city. With traffic, about 40-45 minutes. I usually sit on the bridge for the most of my commute because traffic gets backed up on the downside, coming into the city.

Yes, know that traffic well...though I never lived on the Jersey side. Dealt with the Philly traffic for decades. Now it's Atlanta traffic. People always comment how bad Atlanta traffic is. Frankly, I find it no worse than what's in other major cities like Philly. It's bad, to be sure, but the same as other places.

Wow, I'm kind of surprised I'm on an island by myself. I knew my commute was uncommon, but I figured someone else would have a super long commute too. What stinks is that "as the crow flies", my office is about 35 miles. I live northwest of the city, and my office is northeast. However, there's no highway connecting the two. I could take secondary arteries directly across, but it's literally 60-70 traffic lights or more, so the highway is the best way. But I make a true "V" pattern. Go all the way down to the city edge, cut across a bit, then go back up.

I don't work, but for DH it is 4 km. No stoplights or even stop signs along the way. Takes about 5 minutes from pulling out of the garage to pulling into his parking space.

DS18 needs about 15 miutes by bike for his training this year, and then the plant he'll be at after is a 5 minute walk from home.

We intentionally chose a location that would cut down on our commute times and need to add to our carbon footprint in that way

About 2 miles, takes 5-7 minutes, depending on how many traffic lights I hit and which way I go. I couldn't deal with a long commute or traffic. Or public transportation (nothing wrong with it, just not something I would want to do).

My husband drives about 45/50 minutes each way to work, down a 2-lane road through a bunch of little towns.

It varies. 2 or 3 days a week I'm 3.7 miles from a regional office. Depending on time of day and amount of traffic, it takes from under 10 minutes to over 20 minutes.
Two or three times a month I need to go to corporate HQ. 23 miles. That takes 45 minutes minimum with little traffic because there's no good direct route. Well over an hour at certain times.
Other days I visit various company locations, ranging from 2 to over 75 miles away.
Occasionally I work from home.

retired.......so zero!!! :yay: Before that the school I subbed at was about a half mile away.

3 miles. Takes 8-20 minutes, depending on how many stupid parents are dropping off children that could otherwise reasonably walk to school by themselves.

My shortest route into work is 7.5 miles, but it can be up to 9.6 miles.

I cycle the 9.6 mile route each day and it takes around 35-mins one-way (or 15-mins to drive!).

About 20 miles each way. What used to be around a 25 minute drive now takes about 45-50 minutes because traffic has gotten bad in the last year.

I work 18 mile away from home. It takes me approximately 40 minutes each way. I do stop 1/2 there and finish the commut with my daughter. We work in the same office.
