We live in South Carolina, and are fortunate to be a 7-hour drive from WDW. We can go there for a long weekend if we want, and also are able to pack whatever we can fit into our SUV. From reading these boards, it seems that most of the posters live on the east coast, or at least east of the Mississippi. Where are you all from, and how long does it take you to get to the World?

I'm from the mid-west originally, with an 18 hour drive to WDW. Now I live 3 miles away from the World. :teeth:

We are in the Philly area so way too far by car but only 2 hours and 15 minutes by plane. Will be there in 10 more days.......

:cool1: :yay: :Pinkbounc :bounce:

2 1/2 hours South of WDW. (West Palm Beach)

We live just south of Kansas City and it would take 24 hours to drive. We can fly in less than 3 so that's the only way we go.

We're just south of DC... it's about a 12 hour drive from WDW. We did it once for our wedding, because we had *so* much stuff to take down with us, but I don't think we'd do it again. Flights are only a couple hours!

I llive in North Alabama and we always drive. It takes us about 10 1/2 hours to get there.

We live in NY so it would take us 24 -36 hrs ( not pushing it with a 5 & 7 yr. old ) so we opt to fly -only 2 1/2 hrs! :sunny:

We are from MA so WAY too far to drive. I think it would take about 24 hours to get there. It is a 3 hour and 15 minute plane ride though.

If we drove it straight through without stops, it's 36 hours!

:moped: :faint:  :car: :faint: :faint:
We usually take 3 to 5 days to drive down and stop and see a lot of places on the way.

We live on the East coast of Canada and about 3 hours from the Maine border.

We drive mostly because we are gone from home for 30 to 40 days at a time, so it's no big deal to drive and have our own car...

This year we are flying as we only have 2 weeks at WDW, one week in Pompano and 3 days to drive to Columbia SC to see an elderly relative for a day.

Even with it being so far away, we love every minute of every trip...We don't have kids, so we spoil ourselves and my parents just bought a house in southern Florida so we will probably make 2 trips a year from now on.

Hey!

I'm the furthest one up north yet!

I live in the suburb of Montreal, Canada!

We drove to WDW last August and it took 24 hours! It was GREAT!

We will be flying this year, though!

I'm only 2 to 2 1/2 hours southwest of Disney World and don't get there nearly as often as I would like! I'll be there in 20 days though! :cool1:

Wow, I think I'm the furthest West so far :goodvibes

We're in Arizona (way closer to DL, 7 hour drive) and its a 5-6 hour flight. :hourglass Have no idea how far the drive is :confused3 but I do know its about a 3 day drive to Central AL (we moved last year).
