-back to MCO airport from WDW? Can it be done with a car service same day last minute? 24 hours?
I considered using Uber etc to save money, but it is even more important to not miss the flight and want something very reliable.
Suggestions appreciated.

Uber has a service in certain markets that allows you to advance book a ride. Download the app and check to see if it’s available in Orlando; do the same for Lyft.
You can also use private car services such as Mears.

Obvious suggestion...request a ride share 2.5 - 3 hours before your flight. You'll be OK even if it takes 30 minutes to get a car.

Most of the car services mentioned on this site are small. Short notice and they may not have availability.

Mears is a big operation. I'm sure they can take care of you with short notice.

You're concerned. Allow the extra time in requesting a ride share or spend the extra few dollars and reserve a car service

I scheduled my rides to the airport in Lyft about 3 days before my trip, so it was over a week before my return flight. They let drivers select the trip and confirm that you've been assigned. My cars were both there a little early to pick me up and I didn't have to pay private car service prices.

I understand being nervous that a vehicle may not be nearby, especially considering my family needs xl, but I have never had an issue when using the preschedule feature in Lyft.

Where outside? Is there a location (inner road or outer?)
I believe it's door 12 or 13. They're marked plus there are airport personnel there to try to keep the area free for Uber pick ups. When the Uber gets close, they'll tell you what their car looks like, license plate # etc. That's when I usually text them some identifying info (like "have purple suitcase") or the door #, like "in front of door 13.

Old.

Ride share pickups use level 2. When you request a ride share you specify what door is near you. In other words you pick up your luggage, turn around, request your ride share. The door in front if you is your pick location
