how far ahead do you pack for non-Disney vacations?

thinking of starting to get ready to go away Thurs morn
Wed night I'll be mowing the front yard; Tues night food shopping
I have today and Mon off - thinking after I do laundry it would be a good time to begin my packing

so how far ahead do you pack?

I always pack the night before. It just seems much easier. I pull things from the drawers, and an hour later, all 4 of us are packed.

If I am leaving late in the day (often go to Milwaukee to stay overnight for early AM flight) I pack a few hours before I leave. If leaving from home in AM, the night before. Enjoy your trip.

At the very last minute... I hate packing

It depends... for December I was able to pacak months in advance since most of whwat I was going to wear there were things I didn't need for home (since it was 'summer' clothes). Last time I did it all the night before. I also have a bag packed up always with my "essentials" so I don't have to worry about forgetting anything so I am always partially packed

I'm a freak....I pack as far in advance as possible and always make a list. About a week before I leave, I repack and usually take out about 1/3 of the stuff I packed. DH thinks I'm nuts! But, hey, when I pack his stuff we don't end up searching to buy underwear in Jamaica, either!!!
