How exactly do I stalk for FOP FPs?

I was unable to secure FOP FPs for our early June trip, despite being up at 3:45 AM my time and being at the ready at 7 AM EST.

I keep seeing these posts that say to keep checking and not give up. Is there a special way of checking that would help improve my chances of getting them or pure luck?

I plan to check daily on our planned AK day and specifically only booked 2 FPs to leave room for FOP. Is this a good plan?

you can still book a Navi FP and just click Modify to check FOP availability. It's luck, but there are times as you get closer where more people will be changing their plans and possibly letting FPs go.

I did get Navi thankfully. Would you suggest I go ahead and make a 3rd FP and then modify? Are the odds better if I modify instead of book a new FP? Hope I made sense?

It will make no difference if you book a 3rd FP because you already have Navi which is in the same Tier as FOP. It is not benefiting you to only have 2.

It's the same odds whether you Modify or try to book new, but if you keep Navi, you will need to try Modify anyway.

We had booked our fastpasses after the 60 day window opened. I booked Na'vi and checked every day and was able to snag three FP for FOP. Good luck! Im hoping I am able to get one for my trip this summer. Its insane that they arent even available 60 days out.

When we were there in Dec, I was waiting for fireworks and just sat on my phone refreshing and it showed up for 2 days later at 9am! The exact time I wanted, I was shocked. Then about 15 minutes later I got one for 7DMT for the next day. It was night time, so I’m guessing people were analyzing their plans and decided to drop/swap FP Times.

I was up this morning at 4am and managed to get FOP for 3 different days, not exactly the times I wanted, so I will keep checking.

How many people in your party? Did you trying splitting party and trying to get overlapped Times? That’s another option.

Right. It will make no difference as far as your chances go, so you really should go ahead and make the third FP+. You'll need to check more than daily to try to get FoP. You'll need to check many times during the day. The day of your AK day, I would do it over and over and over, that's the best way to find it.

If you booked Navi then keep trying to modify that one. It will show any other times for Navi and FoP at the top since those are the same tier. We did that for 3 months leading up to our recent trip and finally secured a FoP fastpass literally the day before we got into the park. Pure luck but it is possible. You also can keep checking while in the park, people are more likely to move around their fastpasses during the day than in the days leading up to their trip, IMO.
