I ask because I just had a little "work" done :rolleyes1 and am not really supposed to be pushing anything, but the opportunity for a last-minute (in three days!) DL trip with out of state friends just came up and I really want to go. They've offered to help handle my kids (ages 4 & 6) and I plan to let them, but I don't want to totally depend on them. I'm thinking of letting them push the kids into the park with my umbrella stroller and then switch to a DL stroller which I might occassionally push my youngest in as well. How much man-handling do they take to push & turn?

because of the weight of your kids being 4 and 6, it may be too much for you. It definately won't be too much for them though.

No, they are not easier to push than a regular (good) stroller.

They are easier to push than an umbrella stroller, though. Especially with bigger kids. We tried our umbrella, and it was a huge struggle. DL strollers are big comfy joggers, and quite easy to push. My almost-6-DD had no problem fitting comfortably in one.

A toddler would be super easy for pushing but to me, it's all a weight factor. If I put my 4 year old in a DL stroller Vs my regular stroller, I much prefer the DL one.
