Ok, so I'm ahead of myself a little, but I want to start packing for our Disney trip! Especially DDs summer clothes that they won't be wearing now...I want to use the ziploc baggie/outfit method but will clothes be good, non wrinkly, not smell like plastic if I start packing 4 weeks ahead of time? How early do you start packing?

NO question is a silly question!!

I am a very early packer!! I bring out the suitcase at least a month or two beforehand!

I went to Disney Sept/Oct and just left it out and even left some stuff in it and we're going November 25.

I put stuff that's just for Disney or that we won't be using again like shorts and sandals.

It's never too early IMHO!!

I start setting things aside several weeks before a trip. Certainly, if you are taking summer clothes out of drawers, you should put them somewhere handy if you think you may use them on your trip.

I am going the first week of Dec. and have just started my "last minute shopping" to buy items that I want to take with me: disposable bibs, a no-back car booster seat for DS, etc. I've got a box in the basement with items I put away after our last vacation: fanny packs, extra disposable placemats, etc. I'll be spending some time going through that box this week and making a shopping list.

A couple weeks before the trip, I open a suitcase and start throwing in items I won't need until the trip.

I don't use a packing check-list, but starting my packing ahead of time makes sure that I don't forget anything important.

I have a large shoe box and keep items in it for travel/wdw purposes as I obtain them or that are "left over" from previous trips....disposable rain ponchos, baggies, brita water bottle filters, id holder, etc. That way when its time to realy pack, I dont have to scramble looking for all those little things I read about on the Dis.

we live in cold Ct, so rather than having to pull out rubbermaids of summer clothes in April, I packed all of the kids outfits in ziplocs already. I also hit some great end of the season clearance for a few nice new outfits.

I packed all of Dh's and my outfits clothes in a rubbermaid... Although I must say, I was tempted to do DH's clothes in the ziplocs too! :rotfl2:

We have a travel trailer & stay at FW, so I just put all the stuff out in our TT and now all I'll need to pack is food.

I don't think you have to worry about "ziploc smell", but you can always pack some Febreeze just in case.
