How early to line up for Garden Rocks concert?

There are no dining packages the weekend we are going to be there- May 14-15, how soon should we line up? Is one show typically less crowded? 5:30,6:45,8:00?

We were at the theater by 4:30 yesterday and it was surprisingly crowded but still plenty of seats. The theater looked pretty full by 5pm.

Don't sweat too much over this. We went last spring to see a pretty popular act and there were plenty of seats for the whole concert.

I would think that half an hour before a show should be fine, though it depends on the popularity of the performers. The shows aren't long so worst case you could stand in the back or relax in the American pavilion area; there isn't much view back there but the sound carries.
