How Early is Too Early?

We are moving from one resort to another (ASSp - ASMo) and I am wondering how early can I do this?
I was hoping to have Disney move my luggage. After reading some other threads it may not be the best idea, but we would still like to take advantage of this service.
We would also like to pick up our park passes (FTP passes) and visit one of the parks.
Now, exactly how early is too early? My family has always been early risers (often before 6am- I know, I know crazy bunch.) and I am a little worried that we may be too early for our passes.
Also, has anyone checked in the night before(after parks are closed) to pick up their passes? Is this even possible?

Not sure how FTP works...but I've switched hotels from AKL to BWV and checkin at 7am and was lucky enough to get a room and I had Disney move the luggage and it was there by 3pm without any problem..
