How early is too early for check-in??

We are changing resorts on Easter Sunday from OKW to WL. Our problem is we also have a reservation at Cinderella's Royal Table for 10:45. I don't want to be late for CRT and I want to make sure we check-in early so I have a better chance for my room request. Any advice?

I think you can check-in after 6:00 or 7:00am. You would definitely have enough time to get to CRT if you got to VWL by 9:00am.

If you are driving, drive over to the VWL after checking out of OKW and leave your car there.

If you aren't driving and there are more than two of you in your party, you could head over to the MK early in the morning and one from your group can break off and go over to the VWL from the MK by boat. Check in and then head back and meet someplace in the MK. You only need one person to check in and since you won't have luggage, that would seem to work.

I have heard on thse boards that you can check in as early as 7:00 A.M. but have no experience or first hand knowledge of this.

Officially, you can check in as early as 7 a.m. although you may not get your room then. Unofficially, you can check in up to an hour or so even before that as long as there is someone manning the front desk.

A couple of years ago, we checked into OKW on Easter morning after a night or two at another Disney resort. We checked in about 6:30AM. Our room wasn't ready until 4PM.

We were at OKW last August and moved over to SSR one day. I drove over to SSR about 7 AM, checked in and found our room was ready. Drove back to OKW, had breakfast, packed up and moved our stuff over to the new room and hit our first park at 9. Kewl.

Luck of the draw. I'd do as HBC said, though, and check in early.

We always check in between 7 and 8am. Then we just head to the parks. The only time our room was ready before 4pm was last year at Beach Club Villas.. a VERY nice surprise but not expected.

Going next week - staying off site - but have reservation in a studio at OKW for Tues and Thursday (no Wednesday) to get easy access to WDW.

I intend to check in early - very early - so I can do early morning....

I seem to remember that their systems are down from 4 to 7 AM to download the current day's reservations. That's a bit hazy, though, so don't bet the farm on it....
