How early is to early to pack?

I was just curious how early everyone else actually starts packing their suitcases? I've had lists for weeks, I've had our clothes layed out for days and now I want to start putting them in the cases!!! I STILL HAVE 12 DAYS to go!!!!!!

Also, do you bring a seperate suitcase just for water, juice and snacks or do you just pack it all in around your clothes. I'm afraid of breakage.

I always start packing early. Our suitcases are completely packed the weekend before we leave. I am a person who just get so stressed out if I waited until the last minute.

I've never packed beverages, only snack type foods so I'm not sure what to do with that.

start packing now!!! It can't hurt, and will make you so happy
I put the water into gallon zip lock freezer bags, or quart bags. I do this when we go on a picnic or a day at the beach. In fact, in my DD's lunch, if it could break it goes into a seperate bag!

Well don't pack TOO early because what are you supposed to do if you need that item of clothes? As you find you won't be needing something, just pack it up. I usually start packing about two days before, but I start organizing and cleaning clothes the week before. And I have an ongoing "pack list" several months beforehand! HAHA!!!
I wouldn't pack any liquid foods or beverages in your clothes because they throw those suitcases around like nobody's business and that would suck if something broke open on your clothes!! I've heard it suggested you get a hard suitcase to pack stuff like that in so it won't get smashed, but not too many people have those and they have no wheels so it's a pain! Make sure you put everything in Ziplocs just in case!
You must be SO excited with 12 days left. I have TWO months left!

I need to start soon. I probably have laundry to do too, to even start packing.

We leave in the morning........I just can't get started. So much to do, and I really just don't want to do it.

I would be so excited if it was even a month before a trip I wouldn't be able to wait! It would be packed andm ready to go! I am very impatient when it comes to Disney trips!

weeeelllllll......we leave in the morning....no suitcases are packed...out of the 4 we need. BUT, the rubbermaid container with all our shoes are packed. The rubbermaid container with backpacks, ball caps, liquor, bleach wipes and Skip-Bo are packed. So, we will be drunk with just our shoes on, but at least our phone will be clean!!

Living in the lovely northeast, sadly our summer clothing is of little use to us now. We may have one or two really warm days crop up between now and lets say April? We won't need anything from the packing. Isnt' that SAD?

Last night after I got home from work and class I needed a little disney magic so I pulled out my mickey mouse suitcase. I put in the things I won't be wearing now that Boston is so chilly. Some of my basic tank tops I still wear under sweaters so those won't go in till the weekend before or the week of my trip. I leave the 29th of this month so I guess I'm packing about two weeks ahead.

Have 29 days to go. Will spend this weekend getting together all we need for the trip, then going to the store to fill in the missing items. As for the actual packing. I pack a week before, my DW packs the day before.

I'm an early packer! I don't want to forget anything. When I was pregnant with my DS, I packed my hospital bag when I was 5 or 6 months!

Well....................I finally start a load of laundry, about half of what I want to pack is in there.

The other half is now laying on my couch. Maybe I'll get everything into the bag tonight before I go to sleep.

I start packing early too, I don't even have my hotel booked for next month but I've started packing things I won't need ie: travel toothbrush, toothpaste etc. I don't pack clothes until the last week, since .. well, I wear them, and I live in Miami ... I do pack a few "wintery" clothes incase, Orlando is unpredictable so I always put one sweater and jeans in the bag since I won't need that down here this time of year.

i've started packing and you can see by my ticker that i still have a ways to go. i'm putting in the things i know i won't use before then (bathing suit, sunblock) and the stuff i got specifically for the trip. i usually have everything packed the weekend before as well. i'm a well-prepared virgo .

Hmmm, I think a better question would be "When do you unpack"
Our next forseeable trip is Christmas 2007 - Perhaps an additional trip earlier in the year if DS does the college program & we can get decent rates.

Even so, I'm keeping my carry-on filled with the Disney essentials such as Mickey Ponchos, Markers, Spray-fan etc. I have a list of items I packed for food last vacation and have made notes on what went unused etc.

I have already packed our boxes and shipped them. Now our suitcases probably MOnday and Tuesday since I have friends taking the little one so she can't unpack while I am packing. We leave on Thursday and just spent the day at the Disney store to get really pumped. Pack whenever you want it is your magical trip !!!!

I've planned a last minute trip to WDW for the end of October, and the day i made my reservations, i started gettin all my stuff ready, that was about 1 week ago.... talk about over kill!! But i cant help it, i just get too excited!!

We leave in 19 days and I started packing at *least* two weeks ago! Of course I haven't packed certain things like toothpaste and my undies! It's too cold here now for swimming or for shorts so they are packed with my Disney shirts. I even have the clothing I'm going to wear that day laid out. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!
