how early do you start to plan..

Hi guys,
Hope all is well with everyone, I was wandering when you all started the detail planning for your trips to Florida. We depart in september for two weeks, I have already started the basic stuff like getting park tickets (10 day wdw and 14 day flex ticket) but am itching to plan each day. my problem is getting to excited to soon (i want my holiday now) should i stop planning for a couple of months or go hell or leather.

I start planning the minute it's certain (i.e. I've booked either flights or accommodation). The anticipation and planning is half the fun - the holiday itself is over in a flash. I'm only truly happy when I'm planning a WDW trip! (Just ask dh )

We booked our holiday last June and we have been planning ever since, we too are not going till September. But hey like UKDEB says the holiday is over in before you know it. It so exciting making plans even though ours change every month. It makes September seem not so far away. Have you got the Brits guide to Orlando? It has helped us out heaps

I love planning a trip, we plan before we book! lol
Luckily we do get booked, and sorted then all the excitement flows and we start writing down where we want to go/what to see/where to eat, etc...DP is more the planner than me, he always writes the days down etc and sorts out what we are doing.
PLAN AWAY,Like they have said above, your holiday is soon here and gone!
Planning is the exciting part, I just love the planning, and buying things for the holiday!!!

We booked (although it was my xmas pressie in december but on xmas day when dp suprised me with the holiday we started to plan! the WDW family tapes came out of the past trips and we sit there and make notes LOL)! so we have been planning for a few months, we go in june

AGES!

I registered on the Dis and started planning in September 2002 and as you can see from my countdown my holiday doesn't start til August 2004. However this is certainly for some in the party a "once in a lifetime" although I'm already hooked and will definitely go back.

The planning has been soooooooo much fun, I have been making itineries and lists and amendments for ages and just to keep it all exciting i have been keeping little surprises from some of the party!

Usually a year to 2 years!!!.
My schedule for may 2005 was in draft form, 5 weeks ago!, i will fine tune this right up till we go!.
Ive already sussed out the villa(and price), for our 2006 trip, and purchase our tickets in the next few weeks because of the dollar rate at present.Like somebody else said, not happy unless im planning a WDW trip!
