I'm leaving May 13th. I have extra ponchos, fanny pack, bug bracelets, sun screen, travel size bath products, travel size shampoo and conditioner, small deodorant, finger nail file and clippers, small laundry detergent, zip lock with dryer sheets, extra contacts and a small bottle of contact lens solution, mole skin, bandaids, safety pins, clothes pins, body glide, extra batteries, Pal Mickey, bathing suit, beach towel, small backpack, and sundry other items that I repacked as soon as we got back from our trip in January. This past Saturday I went shopping and bought some shorts, capris, and a few blouses. I brought them straight home, washed them, and hung them up in the back of my closet in matching outfits, along with some other clothes I'll be taking. I bought two pair of Teva flip flops and a pair of Teva sandals a couple of months ago, so know what shoes I'll be taking, but am currently wearing them every day to make sure they are broke in well. (glad it's been warm down here lately!)
The only things I should have to get together at the last minute will be insurance card, DL, credit card, makeup, and underwear. I'll probably put everything in the suitcase 2-3 days before I leave.
The folder with copies of my itineray, PS, AP, DDE, airline and hotel confirmations, etc is sitting on top of my computer desk and will go in my carry on. My AP and DDE card are in a lanyard in the suitcase and when I pack, I'll pull it out and add my DL, credit card, and insurance card and then put it on top of the suitcase, so I can't forget it the morning I leave. The camera with extra memory card and battery charger is already sitting on top of the suitcase in the hall closet.
My dog will be staying with a relative, so I'll have to pack all her stuff the night before (brushes, combs, grooming spray, hair bows and clips, shampoo, conditioner, toys, bed, food, treats, food/water dishes, leash, collar, vet number, etc. Usually her suitcase is as big (or bigger) than mine.
