The night before.
I'll do the laundry, get all the phones, cameras and associated chargers organized, grab all the passes and tickets... Pack the clothes and that's it.

Unpacking... That's another story. I feel like I'm living out of a suitcase for weeks after we get home!

We go to the World so much that it now takes us about 20 mins to pack everything for the whole family. :flower:

Apparently I pack just a day or two before. We leave Tuesday and I have the suitcase out but not one thing in them. Help! I need about 10 more hours in the day. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

I said the night before, but that was for me. DH repacks for the next trip as soon as he washes the clothes from the last trip. He actually has DISNEY clothing that he keeps packed ALL the time. I thought I was the DISNEYHOLIC, but he's worse than I am. He's 61 and still a kid at heart. :goodvibes

I dont unpack! lol
I still have a suitcase packed that we brought home 2wks ago!
Its all WDW/vacation "stuff" that we dont need in daily living

I'm leaving in less than 2 weeks and haven't gotten the suitcaes out yet but in the next few days I'll get going...I hope! :rotfl:

since we go off season i kind of pack when i put my summer clothes away as i put them in the suitcase...i'd start packing now but then i wouldn't have anything to wear next summer ( long time to go still)

Okay, not this last trip because I had to be up at 4 AM and even that was cutting things close - but any trip where I can leave the house at 6 AM or later, I'm packing when I wake up.

We pack the night before---

I do have everything bought and ready to go but actually packing-I am up to wee hours in the AM packing :rotfl: :rotfl:

finished packing at 2/3 AM and leave at 5:00 :rotfl2:

I start planning and thinking about it weeks before. Making lists, getting things ready, knowing where things are. Shopping. However the actaul packing we normally do the day before. I will get things together and put in them baskets a while before, start washing ect... Often the cothes I bring are ones that we need to wear, so packng weeks ahead if out. Also during the winter I like to look at the forcasts to see what the weather will be to be sure we have enough warm/cool weather things.

I wash clothes the day before... and pack the night before.

I usually start putting things aside a couple weeks before, and put clothes aside that I may want to bring. I have a basket that I throw things in as I think of them (disposable water cameras for the waterparks, water bottle strap, tickets, my trusty packing list, etc) ...
Laundry @3 days before and actually pack the day before. We usually have to leave our house around 4am.
13 more days

Year round we have the "vacation box" that gets filled as we go. Right now, it has disposable cameras, beef jerky, chewing gum, kleenex, rain ponchos, purell, shampoo, body wash, antipersirant/deodorant, moleskin, bandaids, and other long shelf life munchies for the road.

As for the actual packing, I know what all is going along for the ride already. The I know that next weekend, I need to start wrapping the Christmas presents for all of Gabby's family. We have a ton of stuff to wrap. Those wrapped items need to be boxed up for the trip down to FL. We are renting a minivan for the trip, since we both have trucks. The bags will be packed and ready to go the first weekend in December. We leave on the 8th for Florida. I can't wait! Maggie

I've found that if I start packing too early I end up unpacking everything to go thru it and make sure I didn't forget anything. What works for me is packing the day before 1 person/bag at a time and having a night to sleep on it to remember any last minute things. Anything I can't pack until right before we leave I either write onto a list or put in an obvious place so it isn't forgotten. I spend the week before leaving doing laundry and limiting what everyone wears so they aren't wearing something I want to pack.

We just started packing last night and we have 6 days left. I usually start a week or two before we go , but this time I am running a little late :rotfl2:

i will usuall pack up my dtr as soon as summer is over, when i am putting away her summer clothes, i pack a few short sets, a couple pants outfits, and i buy her panties and socks new and pack them up so she is all packed, i put some fabric softner sheets in her suitcase so no unwanted guests form, and she is all set, we go in dec so she is generally packed in sept, then the adults usually pack 2 to 4 weeks

I start packing the week of the trip-usually a few days before I start with toiletries and necessities. I usually iron all the clothes in the days preceeding and pack them the night before so evetything stays neat and fresh.
:)
