How early do you leave in the am?

Only one time did my DS and I do early entry at Disney Studios. We were at the bus stop while the sun was still coming up. I will never forget it. I was pooped by lunchtime. We headed back to POR for a nap and then went back out in the evening. We much prefer to sleep in and stay out late. We are evening people. :Pinkbounc

We like to get to the parks early. If not using EMH we leave for the parks around 8:00 - 8:15. If we decide to do EMH we will leave an hour earlier.

When we went, we made sure to be at the park a half hour before opening. We only did half days at the park, though. Left them around noon or 1 and went back to the resort to relax in the room or pool, then spent the evening exploring a different resort. We enjoyed visiting resorts nearly as much as going to the parks.

We are the exception...we tend to roll into the parks by 10:00...but we have been a million times so we don't "commando tour" anymore. We are happy to stroll and see a couple things, eat, stroll, eat, then eat again.

:rolleyes1

We are the same way, we sleep in and get to the parks around 10 or so.

Our family- First bus to the parks- 7:00-7:15 AM every day. We are waiting at the gates for the opening. Sleeping in or eating breakfast before we get to the park is a huge waste of prime riding time.

I am so glad so many of you sleep in late. That's why there are no lines for the first two hours at the Magic Kingdom. Thank you! Keep it up!!!! At Disney World, time is money! Wait... at Disney, everything is money!!

Like Tour Guide Mike says, every minute that the park is open and you are not there, the lines are getting longer.

We hit the evening hours instead of the morning hours. So we pretty much take our time in the mornings.

My family would much rather sleep in but my special needs son likes to ride a ride at least 2 or 3 times a pop. Soooo we have to get there at the crack of dawn to accomplish that, we are happy to do it and sure makes him HAPPY!

The only morning we are sleeping in next trip is after the MVMCP and our ADR at Breakfastasaurus isn't til 8:50 hahahaha.

See you bright and early at the bus stop :cool1:

We love to be at the park at opening time. I'm like several of the other people, this is one of the best times to ride the rides. Plus we will go home mid-afternoon take a nap and be back for the Evening magic hours.

We were there at opening each days on Fri, Sat and Sun of last week and it really pays off. It was a busy weekend but because we were there for the opening we saw and did everything we wanted to. We did Soarn 2X on Sat. We get there 30 minutes before park opens.

I really think it depends on where you are stay and what park your going to. Also, the transportation. Now with that said. It was really hard for us coming from the West, taking a red-eye after working all day to get up early in the morning. 6:00 AM at WDW is 3:00 AM to our body clock.

I like to sleep until 7:30 - 8:00, have coffe while getting my hair and makeup done, then head out. It is vacation and we enjoy taking our time and seeing things just not all at once. Of course, DH could wake up at 7:30 and be out the door at 7;40AM ;)

That is exactly what we do. We usually don't eat breakfast out (just something quick in room). We usually get to the parks and only have to wait a few minutes before we are let in. Works great for us, plus it isn't the "crack of dawn". We rarely do morning EMH.

We are early risers but just cannot make it to the parks before opening. Usually get there shortly after opening.

i'm the first on the bus each morning i am at a disney resort.........

no way can i sleep in when i am at disney.

i am there when the parks open and start to when they close.

We do the opposite of almost everyone else. We used to get up early and head out the door. Now we don't. We've found that we can get more done with a lot less stress later in the day (especially after the parade). Many, many people leave after the parade and this makes everything much more managable. This is especially true during the week. (The weekends are just going to be crowded.)

So we sleep in, go to the pool, give the 4 year olds a nap, and head out after naps. We find this gives us much better "quality" time.

I truly feel it depends on the time of year that you are going. We can only go during the summer. We are always at the front gate before opening. We always leave by 2 to go back to the hotel for swim and rest and back to the park by 6ish. It's too hot to stay all day.

It depends on what resort we're leaving and where we're going. From Beach Club we leave 10-15 minutes before MGM opens, but about 45 for Magic Kingdom. When we first started going we allowed more time, because we got lost a great deal.

But we're always there for opening. The opening ceremony at Magic Kingdom is really nice on non-early-entry days, and I like the one at AK, too.
