I made my ADR call at 6:59 for my Aug. 20-25th dining dates, was told the call would take 10 mins. Okay, I can do that.

I got an agent, told her my dates, and she said she has to transfer me to the right agent. Now it says "over 30 minutes."

Are you KIDDING me??? I call a minute early and this is what happens??? How early do I need to call to get helped in 15 minutes or less. This is ridiculous-- Disney needs to put on more staff during the free dining period. Has it always been like this? During free dining or any other time? We've never done the DDP, but still, don't people agree that this is a bit nuts?

*** I just realized. When the agent said she wasn't the right person to help me, I probably got transferred to the end of the other line. I.E. It was as if I called at 7:15-- when the agent transferred me.:headache: This makes me screaming mad, because I obviously DID not call then. The next agent will probably get a (polite!) peace of my mind on this. If I don't get my choices (the restaurants, could care less about the times), I will DEFINITELY say something...

I got the places I wanted-- except not Ohana :sad2:
The times/dates aren't exactly to my liking, but I did tell myself I wasn't going to go super crazy. I'm TRYING to be as laid back as possible!

I'll post a willing to trade on the August ADR thread and call again in 45 days and hope for the best!

Did you stay on the line for the survey? There's information in the recording on how to offer a more detailed experience about your call - something about going to the Disney site but adding /survey after the .com?

I had the same problem on Tuesday. I called around 7:45 and I guess I was not paying full attention, while pressing all the prompts. I got a CM that said this was for bookings for the next 7 days, and he said he could not make my reservations, so he had to transfer me and I was put in the back of the line. So between that and waiting and making reservations I was off the phone around 9:20. Did you perhaps do what I did? :)

There's some game being played by WDW/CMs. I called at 7 a.m. on "our" day, and was very careful about working my way through the prompts. I get through after about 10 minutes and the CM says I'm in the wrong queue based on my dates and then "transfers" me -- by disconnecting me!

The second and third attempts I answered the questions the same way -- appropriately. Ultimately took 45 minutes although I did get everything I wanted.

Anyone know what's going on with these transfers????????

How can someone calling for ADR's in August call the main dining line and be told they have to be transferred?????

I keep reading this story over and over here on the boards........
