I was going to start decorating for Halloween today, but a friend of mine told me it's still to early. I've done it anyways. But I was wondering, how early do y'all decorate for holidays?

when everyone goes to sleep i take down the christmas decorations on christmas eve

I only decorate for Christmas and those go up on Thanksgiving.

I do not think it is too early to decorate for Halloween. Thanksgiving decorations can go up when those come down. I put my Christmas decorations up the day after Thanksgiving.

I don't decorate for any holiday but Christmas. We put up our tree around Thanksgiving and I take the tree down the day after Christmas.

Go ahead and put up your Halloween decorations. For Christmas, we will put up our lights outside during the first week of November. We won't turn them on until the day after Thanksgiving, but the weather in Chicago is so iffy, that if we wait then we might not get them up at all!!! We also put our Christmas tree up about a week before Thanksgiving, so that once Thanksgiving is over all of our decorations will be up for us to enjoy! Megan

I put out some Halloween decorations the other day....:D

I started doing mine today and I am one of the last ones everybody around here is decorated already~we are heading Saturday to go on hayride and get our pumpkins so I was just waiting till then but then I realized I was last to decorate so up they went today without pumpkins;)

That describes ME to a tee!!

When my Mom had her Halloween decs. up over a week ago, I asked if she wasn't a little early. She said, "this from someone who starts Christmas the day after Thanksgiving?!" :p ;) LOL

Just today I pulled out my Halloween kitchen towels and something that hangs on the front door. I don't want to put all the other stuff out just yet, since my almost-1yo niece will be spending the day with me Friday. No sense adding to the chaos that little one can create!! (Imagine the magicians who pull the tablecloth out from all the dishes, well ~~ Dear Zoe just WHACKS everything off of anything!! Oooo she's FAST, too!!) :) :)

HAPPY HOLIDAYS & HAPPY DECORATING!!! :smooth:

Christmas is pretty much the only "decorating" holiday for us. For us 2 week a head is about right. Otherwise the kids get to NUTS!

My HOMEMADE Mickey - O - Latern will go on my car about Oct. 15.

Santa Mickey Goes on Day after Thanksgiving.

My kids and I decorated for Halloween this evening!!!!! We are hoping to go to the Pumpkin Patch next week to pick out our GREAT pumpkin!~

Well, I've started decorating for Halloween. Usually for me, Halloween is a preview of christmas...LOL. Lights everywhere...only they're purple and orange. Usually the week after Halloween, I begin the process of transitioning into christmas so that the day after Thanksgiving, everything is ready to go. Thousands of lights! Last year, I had 1200 lights in ONE bush alone...LOL. And my tree? Forget about it! I wrap every single branch with lights.....I'm just a little obsessed. :teeth:

I decorated for Halloween yesterday. I don't think its too early.

For Christmas I decorate the day after Thanksgiving, and don't take the stuff down until the 2nd week of January.

I put a lot of time and effort into decorating, I may as well enjoy it as long as I can.

I got out the Easter baskets yesterday and put up the pastel ribbons on the outside of the house.;)

I did Halloween on Sunday. It will come downon Nov 1.

Christmas decorations go up the day/weekend after Thanksgiving and come down on Dec 26(or as soon as I have time).

I put up my Halloween/Fall decorations yesterday. They go down on Nov. 1 and the Thanksgiving stuff comes out. I decorate for Christmas the day after T-Day! :)

If we weren't moving the early part of Nov. I would decorate now for Halloween!!

We decorate for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving!!! (In my new house!! YA)
