How early do I need to get in line for Fantasmic?

I have a ps @ Boma for 5:00 pm and was hoping to go to MGM after dinner to see Fantasmic @ 7:30 (Oct. 23). Do I have enough time? I figure an hour for dinner and maybe a half hour for transportation so that would get us there an hour early. Will this work?

P.S. I do not want to do a Fantasmic Dinner Pkg. mainly because of the price and possibility of rain out (we leave on the 25th).

Is it busy at that time in October? Being there in July it was crazy crowded. With two Fantasmic shows the first one would be standing room only an hour before the show started! The second show wouldn't fill all the way but close to it. Someone I know went in April and needed to show up 2 hours before to get a good seat in the center (which is the best).

I think no matter what time of year it is Fantasmic is busy. I would suggest arrving at least an hour ahead of time, I think with the time you dinner reservation is you should be okay and not have to stand.
