How early do I need to be at MCO for an 8:30am flight???

I am flying southwest and just wondering how early to arrive? It will be on Columbus day. Oct 10. I will need to return a car also to National. Also how early do the car rentals open can I return at 6:30 am???Thanks

I would at least return the car before 6. It will take awhile and then you need to check in at the airport. That is a busy time of day. The flight will start boarding 15-20 mins before so you aren't allowing yourself enough time.

Be sure to checkin and print your BP at 12:01am. This way you will only need to return the car and get thru security. This will save you time.

I usually get to MCO 2 hours in advance all the time. Crowds at the security lines are hit or miss, sometimes packed, sometimes not. I don't take chances there. It's not worth it.

Checkin at 12:01 even if you cannot print your BP, you can reprint it at the kiosk at the airport.
