How early can you book Candlelight Processional Dinner Package?

nope. a cm i spoke with today said that last year they were able to reserve starting in August, as that was when the dates were released. so we will just have to watch for that info to come out!!!

I will be watching, we want to go!

Im waiting completely impatiently for the ability to book CP packages as well!

I emailed my ADR requests to my TA earlier this week and she promised to pass on any info re: the CP package once she gets it. Will post what I learn as soon as I can...

The booking window for Dining changed in October of 2005. This is the first time people have been able to book ADRs 180 days in advance. Last year they announced the packages in August but people were still having to wait until 90 days to book regualr dining. I was thinking about that exact thing this afternoon. They can't very well have people snapping up the ADRs at CP package restaurants at 180 days out, or when the packages are announced there won't be many tables left! I guess I will just make an ADR for regular dinner and switch it over to a package when they are released. :confused3

We also don't know what time we are arriving, so I don't know if we can do CP on our arrival day or not. We haven't gotten plane tickets yet, so I don't have our schedule hammered out.

That's what I don't understand. :confused3 I guess I'll go ahead and make an ADR at Le Cellier for dinner and hope I can just "add on" the Processional package. That's the only way I can imagine it will work as, like you said, all of the tables will be booked by August at the popular restaurants.

This is what Im thinking to... Im glad Im not alone! I was hoping to get the Le Cellier package, and we have 5 adults so you can imagine how hard that would be to get. Im thinking 4:30 PM for the 6:45 show (assuming the same times?), I just now have to decide Sunday Nov 26 or Monday Nov 27th.

In the past, they always held the tables for the packages separate from the regular table bookings. I don't think they allowed you to "switch over" regular reservations to the package unless there was package availability.

Sure that could be done--simply by blocking out a predetermined percentage of all ADR time/location slots in the computer system and making them only available for bookings with CP's.

Setting aside tables wouldn't make sense for them during the slow times as not all of the CP restaurants would be booked up. You can choose whatever restaurant you wanted, so if everyone went to LeCellier instead of Chefs De France they would have empty tables at Chefs De France. I don't believe they would set aside certain number of tables considering the theater could seat hundreds of people and if everyone wanted to pay the $45 for the top tier and choose between LC and CDF (which was the top tier last year, I believe) those two restaurants wouldn't be able to accomodate all of those people with only a certain number of tables set aside (and I don't think Disney would want to miss out on the extra money by people going to the second tier because they can't get anywhere at the more expensive tier). Also, there are three different shows a night so you are able to eat whenever you want around those shows, they would have to set aside tables for every reservation time they have at each restaurant. I think it would be too complex to set aside tables for 5:00, 5:10, 5:20 and so on. Maybe they're thinking of doing it all completely different this year. :confused3

I'm not sure how it's going to be done but I'm not taking a chance that I'll be able to get the CP package (and a table) in August.

I agree. Thats what they've done in the past; set aside a certain amount of tables/ADRs for the package people.

There will be no way to change a regular ADR to a package ADR.

It works the same way as Fantasmic Package. They set aside so many ADRs/tables for the package and there is no way to switch from a non-package ADR to a Fantasmic ADR; you would have to cancel the regular one and re-book with the package.

++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++

That's basically what I was saying - I agree

Ok I called this morning to make an ADR for Maya Grill and asked about the CP package. The CM said that they should be out in mid to late August, and that they will be holding back tables. She said that we do NOT have to make dining reservations ahead of time.

I was actually thinking about this, and I think I will not make a dinning reservation so that not to fill up seats that won't be filled up.

I think they can look at past year's package sales to decide how many tables to hold. I'm sure they can also "release" some tables if the package sales are slow for the night for a particular restaurant. My experience when I went in early December was that most of the restaurants were pretty full.
