We will be driving thru the night from Pensacola and will be arriving about 8:00am. Can we check in and drop off the ol popup in the overflow till our site is ready? Last question. Should we call our loop request in before we leave or make them at check in? Thanks for the help!

That will be March 19th through the 2? correct? If you do the online checkin, there is a location for choosing site preferences such as loops, close to comfort stations, etc. I usually put my request in there. I have been told by numerous CMs that the site number is actually assigned about 5 days prior to your arrival, so if you have a request I would place it at least a week out.

Arriving at 0800 is my usual arrival time as well, driving from Meridian, MS through the night (usually passing by the Blue Angels decorated overpass columns around midnight). Typically my assigned site is not ready that early, but I usually immediately ask what is open and available and take my pick from those so I can go ahead and get setup. I have found that I can usually get a site on the same loop or a nearby loop. If your site isn't ready, you can proceed with the checkin and you can provide them with your cell phone number and they will text when your site is ready.

Yes, you can park in the overflow as you wait.

Assuming there is space available!

We usually roll in about 7:30ish (plus or minus a half hour). The last time we were there, there was no room in the overflow lot. We ended up parking in front of several other spaces (as well as in front of an "island" in the lot) but we stayed with our vehicle (and ate breakfast in the camper). A security guy came by and I explained that I was staying with the vehicle in case I had to move it for someone else to get out and he allowed it (as he could see that the lot was clearly full)

We weren't even done eating our breakfast and I go the text that our site was ready. What awesome timing for us.

We got in around 7 am checked in, site was not ready. Placed our TT in the overflow lot and proceeded to the park for the day. Got a text about 3pm that our site was ready, came back and went to set up. After dinner headed out for the night in a different park.

My last trip I arrived around 7 am and lucky for me my site was clean and ready. I was tired after driving 500 miles.
