How early can we arrive for BOG Breakfast ADR?

So, we decided to do a last minute one day stop over in Orlando on a FL Trip we are taking next weekend. I have never only been to MK for one day without 6 months to plan. LOL But, our awesome travel agent was somehow able to get us an 8am BOG breakfast ADR. We will be there on Sunday, the 19th and it looks like park opening is 9am. My question is, with an 8am ADR, how early are we allowed to get there? I would like to have time to get a family photo in front of the castle with very little crowds, and not have to rush to get to the Beast Castle by 8.

They usually wait until about 7:45 before they start letting people in for their early ADRS. You should have plenty of time for a few photos :flower1:

On our recent trip they let everyone with a pre-RD ADR in right at 7:45.

You have plenty of time to stop for a pic if you like - we did and still got to BOG by 8:00

Keep in mind that at BOG they don't actually bring you in at your ADR time. You will likely be in line behind many people who have an ADR later than yours (and have no idea what they want to order or how to use the machine - I digress).

When we were there in June, they allowed us in at 7:50. They also let in anyone with an adr that was a pre-opening at the same time as far as I could tell. Ours was for 8:10. So you'll have plenty of time to get to the restaurant and even if you were a few minutes late, it's not going to be a problem.

Don't forget though, if you're wanting to ride SDMT or meet A&E, this is the perfect opportunity to get to without a wait. Guests at BOG have a definite edge over the rope drop crowd. We opted to ride SDMT so I can't tell you the exact procedure for A&E. But for SDMT they had CMs who held the BOG people until we could actually see the rope drop crowd coming, then let us go. They funneled us through the FP+ line and we were first ride of the day with no wait.

For quicker service, I suggest you pre-order your meals online. That way you don't have to wait behind those who are trying to decide what to eat.

Thanks for the tips. Yes, we plan to pre-order our meals and I am even taking a large ziploc bag to take the pastries, etc. with us if need be. We ate dinner at BOG last time we were there, so we don't care as much about the "eating in the castle and enjoying the scenery" - We just intend to get in there, get our food as quickly as possible, and get back out to SDMT. I am hoping we can get on SDMT as the park is opening, without having a wait, because of course, great FP+ selections were something we were not able to get at the last minute.

Just did this two weeks ago. We had 8:10 BOG reservations, park opened at 9AM. They let us through the gates around 7:50, had plenty of time on Main Street. To be honest, the praimary reason I made the BOG reservation was to hit 7DMT first thing before the line got crazy. We booked our trip last minute, 30 days out, so FP was only available for much later that night.

We ate very quickly and got out of there. As cakebaker said, they have a CM starting a queue for 7DMT near where they stop you from going any further into Fantasyland pre-opening. This was frankly awesome, it helped so much to have an organized line forming. We were maybe 8th in line at that point. Eventually the CM got word to let us in, walked the line over to the FP entrance. We were able to ride TWICE before the rope drop crowds got there. I was happy with one ride, twice was a big bonus. Although, I think we pulled off that second ride by a matter of seconds. By the time the train pulled back in the station, jam packed!!

If I could piggyback... If I have a BOG pre open ADR, and get out of BOG by 740, (1.)what time should I expect to be able to get in line for the meet and greet? (2.) How long to plan for the greet? (3.)And third, do you think Peter Pan's Flights line will be backed up afterwards to jump in standby?

Do you mean 8:40?
1) As soon as you are finished with your meal.
2) 8-15 minutes after they open the Meet, if you are early in the line.
3) Pan will be busy. It's one of the 4-5 prime targets at MK rope drop.

Watch the park hours. They have been moving park opening from 9:00 to 8:00 on some dates.

Our visit was just before yours it would seem. The experience seems very dependent upon the particular CM's each morning as ours was quite a bit different. There was no organized line for BOG people. Just a small crowd waiting for the CM's to drop the rope. They did walk us to the FP+ entrance, but as we were entering the FP+, the rope drop crowd was beginning to fill the standby queue. By the time we finished riding, the line was outside the queue. There was no possibility of a second ride without waiting.

And we did have to reschedule our BOG breakfast after they changed park hours- luckily we had no problem getting a pre-opening time just a couple of weeks before our vacation.

I did mean 840. Proofreading goes a long way apparently.

As others have said, you can go to the area when you are done. Just pay attention to where the castmembers are "holding' people. Your 2nd question depends on how many people are in front of you and when precisely they open up. As for PP, it actually depends on how many people are going to Dwarves or to Anna and Elsa. We were about to "walk on" even a bit after park opening.

In June, we rode 7DMT twice, did some pin trading with the CMs standing there who were encouraging us to GET THROUGH AGAIN BEFORE PEOPLE FROM THE ENTRANCE ARRIVE (LOL!), and then walked over to Peter Pan and pretty much walked on after strolling leisurely through the queue to look at everything. I'd say our Pan "wait" was maybe 5 minutes total. Thanks to 7DMT and A&E, that Pan queue doesn't build as quickly as those other two attractions...I'd say the line is pretty golden until close to 9:30. I wouldn't dawdle getting over there, but provided that A&E is up and running you shouldn't have any issues with doing Pan with a short wait.

I'd agree with jtowntoflorida. Peter Pan is one of the first rides to build a line, but sdmt and A&E especially are drawing the kiddie crowd away from everything. As far our experience goes, 9:30 is pretty much right on target for a good time to shoot for.

If I can piggy back as well, how far is the walk from Mine Train to Merida M&G? I wasn’t able to find her location last time, maybe it wasn’t very visible. I’m doing BOG breakfast at 8:05am on 09/16, park opens at 9am. Hoping to ride Mine Train as many times as I can before the crowd gets in and then run over to Merida. Do you think Merida will have a long line by then? Should I better stick with Peter Pan/Winnie the Pooh for shorter wait?

I'd check a Robo map, but like a 2 minute walk. Basically you take the path between Tea Cups and Pooh and its between Pooh and the castle on that path. I can't answer how fast the line builds though. We've seen her twice during the afternoon/ day. Once was like a 15-20 min wait (Late Sept 2014) wait, another was less than 5 min (July 2013).

how far is the walk from Mine Train to Merida M&G?

Just follow around "behind" the Winnie the Pooh attraction and the Tea Cups.

I have Merida's Meet marked as "Brave."

Also wondering about early ADR for BOG then to A&E then to either PP or Merida? What's the quickest route to A&E? then merida or PP next?

A&E is at Princess Fairytale Hall just across from Mine Train. Peter Pan is close by. Merida is mark as Brave on the map.
