How early can I check in for cabins?

I know the standard times for check-in/check-out, and have been there in the past.

This trip, we will be staying one night at Art of Animation as we arrive on a non-park day. We have dinner at trails end, and just looking around and relaxing. The next day we will hit the parks.

Wondering how early I can check in to maximize park time that first day. Obviously, we won't need the room, just the kttw cards. How early can I check in to get them?

1) Pretty close.
2) Actually 6:05am.
3) And, no I don't know why they restrict us for the five minutes. *

* The 6:05am reason is so people can't check-in at 3:30am for the
next day, get a chance to sleep, and basically get a free night.
