How early are you getting room ready texts lately?

We have a morning flight, should get to BLT by 11. We have two studios booked, what are the chances one will be ready by then?

We are flying in on a Saturday.

We get our room not ready notice around the time we say we are expected to arrive, usually in the morning. And then the room ready notice by 1:00 PM sometimes earlier. Or it just as we walk into a park. :)

Last trip our DS got a room ready text on ME bus about 10 AM. Our room wasn't ready until 4. This was on a Tues.

I'm concerned if a Saturday is more of a turn over day, it will be later before we get rooms.

We usually get notified by noon. We typically arrive on a Tuesday. Mostly at OKW in a 2 BR or Grand villa.

We stayed at Contemporary in Oct, and received our text on the ME, around 11:30.
ETA: It was a very, very busy Saturday as well.

In October we got the room not ready text around 7:30 and then the room ready text about 4:10. In the past in we have never received any text at the same time as any other one, they have always been at random times.

To be blunt, others experiences really have no bearing on what will happen in your case. There haven't been significant advances in how quickly the rooms are turned-over between guests. It all depends on unforeseeable factors like prior night's occupancy, how many guests are departing on your arrival day, what time those guests actually leave (7am vs 11am is a big difference), how quickly housekeeping gets to the room types that match your reservation, how much weight is given to room requests, etc.

Guests should always go into it with the assumption that they won't have a room until at least 4pm on arrival day. Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

December 31, I got notice at 1:57 this was at BWV.
December 29, I got the notice at 1:34, this was at BLT.

Our NYE 2017 stays.

We had a extra day to our trip and I was debating if it was worth the points to be sure we had a room when we got there. Between my 73 yr old husband and my almost 7 month pregnant daughter in law, I thought a ready room would be handy. But it would mean paying a night' points for a few hours.

In the end, my DH said "well with us getting two rooms, there's a good chance one of them will be ready early.", I went ahead and cancelled the extra night.

Thanks for responses.

On our trip the beginning of March, we received our room ready text at 10:40 am on a Saturday morning. We hadn't even gotten on the plane yet! I hope I don't jinx it, but we always get a text for the room ready. Not sure why just thankful.

We were pleasantly surprised when we got a text at 1145 for our POFQ Room. It was a busy rundisney weekend on top of that!

I don't believe that the day of the week has any bearing on the time of the room ready text. I arrived on a tuesday after easter last year, checked in with the front desk around 10am. We did not get a room ready text until at least 3pm.

You best bet for getting a room is to make sure that you are not putting in any specific room requests or checking the box that you would rather have a room ready over the requests. This might increase your odds, but it really is a crap shoot

If you don't make any room requests you have a much better chance of getting your room early because they can put you anywhere that is available.

I agree with Bill it is quicker if they can put you anywhere, last month me and the wife stayed at the GF in a water view non firework yet because we didnt ask for anything we got on the magical express at 10 am got the text on the bus that our room was ready, went to our room and found out later that night that the non firework view, was still a firework view. But regardless of the view, we had no requests and we had our room ready pretty much immediately.

Last 3 stays:
Sep, OKW, no text but that’s the norm, and I complain every time.
Oct, AKV, no text either
Nov, BLT, text received at 3:20

Those were all studios. By the same token, every time I’ve booked a grand villa, it’s been ready when I arrived around 10am, no text.

We've never gotten a text. Ever. Though one time we got one around 20 minutes after we had been assigned our room and were in it unpacking. After checking in at the desk at 4pm.

We stayed at OKW in January. We had 1 night in a studio (just the 3 of us). Then we moved over to a Grand Villa with my in-laws for the rest of our vacation. We didn't receive a room ready text, and they didn't receive one, either.
