How early and where do you get a DAS?

I need to secure a DAS for my 2yo who has GI issues and is fed by feeding tube.

I have not been to WDW in a long time and don't remember how things work in the mornings. I plan to arrive in the AM before the park opens. Can I pick up the DAS then? Or do I need to wait until after park opening? Until after rope drop?

Is there a park that would be least busy to get it in? If there is, would it make sense to visit that park on our first day? Or does it not matter? I just remember how important the first hour is at WDW. I don't want to waste much time in a long DAS line. Thoughts? How early should I arrive before park opening? Also, if you get a DAS at one park, it's valid at all of them, right?
Thanks!

If you haven't already, I suggest you read through the first few posts of the DAS at WDW thread. The DAS program is new and in some ways quite different than the previous GAC accommodations. If you believe a DAS will help your DD, then one may be obtained at Guest Relations at any of the 4 major theme parks - presumably either the outside or inside GR locations, though there have been recent reports of people being told it can only be given inside the park. It will be valid for your length of stay.
Enjoy your vacation!

I know that the DAS will help my child--that's not the question!

My question is how early before rope drop does the inside office open? I am not counting on the outside office being open.

My apologies, I did not mean to offend. Your original post indicated you "have not been to WDW in a long time" and the DAS program is new as of this past fall. So I wanted to make sure you are aware disabilities are handled differently now as the DAS is not the same as a GAC. I certainly trust you to know your child's needs.

As PP indicated...the Guest Relations location inside the park is not open or available prior to rope drop (or park opening for parks no longer doing official rope drop). I suggest trying at the outside location; it has been reported recently that people were told they had to get DAS at the inside GR, but it's worth a try. This is a new program and just as we think the dust is settling they change another aspect of it.

Enjoy your vacation!
