My 4-year old is now about 42 inches tall, so there are plenty of things she is allowed to ride. She was pretty game at age 3, when we went to Disneyland and rode all dark rides, Haunted Mansion (multiple times), Astro Orbiter, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Roger Rabbits Toontown Spin (pretty intense, jerky dark ride). I know some people on the boards who say they have 4-year olds who love TOT, Big Thunder Mountiain, Star Tours, Test Track- other people have 7-8 year olds too timid. Could some people post their experiences? I am especially thinking we might try-- Splash Mountain, Kali River, BTMRR, and maybe Test Track-- or is that just too scary. I know, your kid may vary.

Finally, has anyone's kid ever begged to go on an exciting ride, gone, and then been so freaked out it put them off thrill rides? (this is my fear.)

My 4 year old loved them all, Test Track, tot, and Kali, Buzz, BtmR, and all that...

He then turned 5 and got to go on RnR, and loved it.

Tot, did freak him out just a tad, but he liked the elevator part, not the pre show...

Natalie is 3yrs and 4mos old. She barely brushes the 40" mark. She's been able to go on Star Tours and Kaoli so far and she loved them both. Tuesday, we'll pass through the World and hit the Magic Kingdom. Nat is dying to go on Splash Mountain and Big Thunder. She may make it, but I am not getting her hopes up too much.

She is a very rough and tumble kiddo, not afraid of much, likes to do scary stuff. She's the "get back on the horse" type when she gets hurt, too.

Probably not the best little girl to compare to, but she loves things faster, taller, louder, etc.

and would not ride splash mountain. He saw the big drop and would not go. I wish we had approached it from another direction so he would have ridden on it. The animation and story inside are better that the ride part IMHO. He did ride Kali River rapids twice and loved it. Also loved the Haunted Mansion. We did not try some of the scarier rides as we knew how he would react.

My son was 4 1/2 when we went this last March, Around 41 inches, and 36 pounds. He liked Splash Mountain, but absolutely hated Body Wars, and Star Tours!!!! He loved Kali River Rapids, and was petrified during Test Track, lost him during the breaking part in the beginning which I think was due to an Accident I had last year, just a fender bender, but had the same breaking action. I thought he would love all the rides, he is such a daring kid at the playground. Never can tell. Janis
