How does waitlisting work?

If all studios are booked for the time period that I want to go, and I'd be fine with any of the DVC resorts, can I waitlist multiples?

I.e. Book a 1 bdrm for now, as a backup, and then book a waitlist at Boardwalk Standard studio, Beach Club studio, and WLV studio?

or is it just a one shot deal, ie. I get my backup, and then list WLV?

Just trying to plan.

Yep, you can. But if you cancel a one bedroom that uses more points than a studio, you may wind up with points in holding or that can't be used.
