Yes, download the app ahead f time and create an account with a payment method.

No. you do not have to book in advance. You get your bags and go to the pickup area. Once there, order a ride. How many people and luggage? If only 3 and not a lot of luggage, you can get an Uberx. Otherwise, you will need and UberXL.

I don't know if there is anyway to get an estimate of the cost. But don't take the fixed amount. It can be as much as twice the actual cost and Uber doesn't give any back.

Yes, tip the driver cash. There is no method for tipping the driver through the app and and despite popular opinion, tips are not included in the fare. They are not required but are appreciated.

It is important that you order your ride when you get to the spot you want to be picked up at. Uber grabs the GPS coordinates of where you are at the moment you order the ride and sends the driver to that spot. It will ignore any address you put in.

would also check to see if the airport your flying into allows uber/lyft. I have heard of some airports dont allow uber into the airport. could possibly find a free shuttle out and then call for an uber outside of the airport.

Also keep in mind that at the time of night, clubs could be closing and this could trigger a surge, costing you more for the ride.

A surge is when there are more riders than there are drivers. A surge could cost anywhere from 1.2x to 4x.

Most drivers would prefer an airport pickup than drunks who will get sick in the car.

You can use this website to estimate the price of the fare:

Some airports don't have designated Uber pickup spots like @davper mentioned. In that case, you'd just go out to the regular arrivals pickup spot and request the ride from the app once you're outside. The driver may call you and ask you for a precise location (like a door number) or ask you walk to somewhere where it's easier for them to pick you up.

If you're traveling to WDW Orlando airport doesn't allow Uber pickups. We don't have Uber by us but we use when traveling. Earlier this year was the first time I used it and I didn't think you were to tip as that is in the fare. But when we used Uber last month, I noticed a couple drivers with signs up saying a tip and a good rating were appreciated. So now I tip....

I was confused about tipping Uber. Was under the impression that it was included in the fare, but began to hear more and more about tips being appreciated. Makes sense when the fares are so low. The problem is I don't usually carry cash. When I had trouble getting Uber to pick me up after dropping my car off at the shop, I tried Lyft and loved the fact that I could add a tip via the app after my ride. Much less awkward.

I decided im going to pay to park at a hotel they charge less then airport parking as i will be gone 16 days to Europe and i need to get to airport early and return late. I was a little nervous of not being able to book if they didnt have a car early in the morning. Thanks everyone .
