How does Trading points work?

How does trading points work? Can someone explain the process to me?

We just closed on a 160 AKV purchase, and got the matching 160 developer points. We plan to use the developer points for Spring Break, as my AKV points will not be "available" yet. I may have gotten a bit carried away in my excitement, and may have invited more people to join us than I actually have available points for. (yes, I know I should have worked out the details before opening my mouth, but its too late now)

Depending on who takes us up on the invitation, I may need more points. Is it possible to trade my points that will be available in May for points I can use in March? How would I do this?

You do not really trade points, but trade reservations. It is somewhat rare however. You would have to find someone who had points that were good for march and they would make a reservation for you and you would make a reservation for them at a time when your AKV point were good.

It is possible to trade points by transfer across use years (over time) but that would take a lot of trust.
