We are going in a little over a week, but will also go back in the late winter / early spring. Would I have to buy it twice to get it for both trips ?

There is information on various times of the year and he also updates information as time gets closer. As far as the rest, check the website and look under the FAQ's. It should address that question.

if you buy it now and put in that you are going at the later date (not the early one) then you will be able to use it until the next time you go. However if you buy it and put it that you are going in a week it will only let you use it for x many days after your trip so then no, you wouldn't be able to use it for the next trip. I reccomend TGM 100%. I bought disney books and thought that would be enough, but then after reading about TGM I decided to try it and am SO glad I did. It is worth every penny.

As said before it will give you general info for the whole year, but it definatly does also give info based on when you will be there too.
