How does this work? Waitlist & banked points question.

Please help me, I can't get my head wrapped around this. My use year is December. I banked points not expecting to use them. We just found out DD's BFF will be performing in the MK parade Thanksgiving Day so we have a justifiable reason to go! I know it's a long shot, but was wondering what it would do to my points if I waitlisted? Can I use my banked points for the ressie? What would happen to my points if the waitlist doesnt come thru? We have POP as a back up.

You can't use the banked points but you can borrow next years points if it will be enough.

Thank you. That's what I thought. If the waitlist doesn't happen the points go back to their original use year right?

The points are only borrowed if the reservation is booked.
