How does this work - 2 different tickets on a Magic Band/MDE?

Here is my thing...

I have a package with 1 day non-hopper ticket on it...all set up on DME and my FP+, chosen.

However, I also have a 1 day hopper ticket that we received for issues that happened on our last trip. I have a will call order ID number. I can link this on MDE, I guess. But, how does my Magic Band identify which one to use?

We are doing the one day non-hopping on our 3rd day of the trip, and the hopping day on the 6th day. How will the gates at Epcot on our third day, know to only use the non-hopping ticket??

I am not sure what the correct way to differentiate these here?

Thanks!!

Supposedly you can call tech support and have them prioritize the tickets so they will get used in the order you want them to. Or also I was told they will get prioritized in the order you link them to your MB. So if you linked the non-hopper first, it will get used first. Not that I totally trust this information because it didn't work for me.

I was just at WDW, and my daughter's MB had three tickets on it (old tickets we had lying around), one with a day left, one with 2 days left, and one new 10 day hopper, non-expiring. I wanted to make sure to use the one day and two days first, not the 10 day. We asked as we entered MK on our first day and they sent us to city hall guest relations, who prioritized the tickets. Worked great during the rest of our trip and now we have used up the two oldest tickets. Yay!

I picked up my new annual pass the first day before we entered MK. I had an old ticket with 2 days left already linked to my MB. I had tech support prioritize the annual pass first after I bought the AP over the phone, then leaving the two day ticket for next year when I probably won't have an annual pass again. When I went to guest relations about my daughter's tickets, I also asked them to check mine to make sure the AP was prioritized first as tech support told me it was. The CM laughed and said, tech support doesn't know how to do that. And mine wasn't prioritized correctly even though I had supposedly already had it taken care of by tech support before my trip, but guest services CM was able to fix it. So I would recommend taking your MB and tickets to guest relations and letting them make sure they are prioritized the way you want them.

Thank you for the very detailed answer! So, I can link it first, and then prioritize when I get there? Do you think it is something concierge at my hotel can do? I just don't want to enter Epcot assuming it's using the non-hopper, only to have the hopper (which is linked first) used and waste a bunch of time getting it sorted out. With so limited time in the parks this trip (thanks to FP+...), I don't want to spend any amount of time sorting out issues (hours wasted last trip doing so....hence the complimentary 1 day hoppers...)..

Bump - anyone know if concierge at my hotel (Pop) can do this - or at least check to see which day is scheduled first - so I don't have to waste any park time on it?

Thanks!!

Also, I did attempt to link my Will Call tix on MDE but it says the ticket number needs to be at least 10 numbers long - my number is only 8. WTH?

No - they cannot. We just tried last week and were directed by the concierge to guest relations at a park.

ETA - Since I don't really trust WDW technology, I had guest relations give me separate media for my 2 day tickets when they linked my AP. They looked at me funny, but did it.

Yes, you can link it any time - just go to guest relations OUTSIDE a park before you use your magic band to enter a park. This will not impact FP+ reservations.
