DW MeanLaureen could sleep through WW3. Alarm clocks don't wake her up, she sleeps with the TV on.. nothing budges her.

Except...

Last night, 2 am, she jumps up and yells, "Baby number two hatched!" from a deep sleep. How the beejeebers this woman that can sleep through an alarm clock going off 4 feet from her head can hear a baby bird from an egg the size of an almond make it's first chirp is beyond me.

So number two made his world debut. Since we fell asleep watching Nick at Night, and they were playing a Nick at Night commercial when we (HA!, make that Lauri) heard his first chirp, we are calling him Nicky for now.

We promise - pictures of Bumble and Nicky, as well as updated pictures of Beaker and Kringle and PeeWee before he moves on to his new home next week will come soon.

It is a mother thing...we can hear our babies cry through a washing cycle off kilter, the vacuum going full blast, and the tv on full blast to child can hear tv over mom's vacuuming! Congratulations and can't wait to see the pictures!

Please hurry with those pics! Those birdies are so cute. I almost got a cockateil but the breeder talked to me into a Quaker parrot. You know Lynn they are almost guaranteed to talk, are friendly, blah,blah blah. Well P.S. the dumb bird doesn't talk and it has mental problems, it lets me hold him one minute and turns into birdzilla the next minute. I should have stuck to my guns and got a cockateil.
