I feel like a Disney pro but Universal has my a little scared LOL!
Thinking of going last week in August we will have 6 nights and 7 days (early flight there and late flight home) it will be myself Dh, dd12, ds 10 kids have never been to Universal or seaworld both love roller coasters (we have done Disney 3 times). Plan on staying in one of the hotels that has the perks of early entry and express passes.

My kids are not big Harry Potter fans (I do however like the books better than my kids LOL) can we do Universal and IOA with a 3 day pass then thinking of doing Discovery cove for 1 day and if I am correct we get a day at SeaWorld and Aquatica tickets so that would be a total of 6 days of parks.

Does this seem doable? any suggestions or comments? I would LOVE to hear!
Is one hotel better than another ?
thanks

I think the RPR is beautiful, Polynesian theme, very calming. We usually stay at PBH, more luxurious, but not as well laid out. I have never stayed at HRH.

As for pool, I do not have kids. However RPH had a boat themed play area with water cannons and splash pad like areas.

HRH had a beach pool, pretty shallow but has underwater speakers and a big water slide. It has a big sandy area where the beach chairs are.

PBH has an aqueduct themed pool, it does have a water slide but not as big as HRH.

All the pools seem to have daily activities where they try and get the kids to join in, they looked like they were having fun.

Last time we stayed at PBH the life guards really stood out. They watch so well, one little girl was holding her brother and got a little to deep and one of the life guards jumped right in and someone else immediately took the life guards place till he could get back out of the water. I was really impressed at how well the lifeguards watch and respond.

Most important...you are allowed to pool hop.

Have fun!!!

Sounds doable to me ! we stay at Portofino. We love the theming, the rooms are biggest and it is the only hotel out of them with the potential of a balcony or patio ( though there arent many and you have to pay extra).it is the furthest from the parks, but it is a BEAUTIFUL stroll or boat ride to the parks and walking is about 10-15mins depending on your pace. There are 3 pools at portofino. The themed aqueduct beach pool is fun and the slide is a blast.Pool hopping is allowed though so don't choose on pool alone.

We just left Royal Pacific for our second trip. We love it there. There is a huge fun pool and the rooms are nice. You will have so much fun wherever you stay. With early entry, you will get to see and ride everything you want in the Wizarding World. They start letting guest enter the parks at 6:30. I recommend getting there then so you can get to Diagon Alley first and ride Gringotts. Have fun! The Express Pass is AMAZING, so three days is plenty of time.

I just got back Sunday. We had 2 day passes and stayed at Royal Pacific. We got up early for EE and did DA first thing and with express pass we did almost everything our first day. By 10am our second morning get had done DA again and did the rides we missed. With our Express pass we never waited more then 15 minutes. (This was on a fri/sat only 3 days after DA opened.

I think your plan will give you plenty of time in the parks.
