ive booked with virgin for 2ad 2ch
3rd Nov 09 for 14 nights dep Manchester for £1423, a 4 bedroom villa in sunset lakes for £930. does that sound like a good price?
i can take virgin car for £290 but its just a compact so i think i will take my own

i will need to book transfers from belfast to manchester virgin will do hem for £69pp but we would rather go and stay overnight and not have to get kids up at 3am

Definitely book elswhere for car. USrentacar have offers on for your dates, pay for Compact get intermediate with Budget for £204 including extra drivers and tank of gas.
For £298 you could get a Alamo 4x4 incl gold option.
Lots more options, way better than Virgin.:thumbsup2

4 bed Villa seems a bit excessive for 2 Ad + 2 Ch but I don't like Villas, prefer a Condo (or hotel) You can get a 2 bedroom Condo a Cane Island for about £23/night (£318 for 2 week) or a 3 bed for £335
http://caneislandrental.com/Location.html not booking thru this site just used it for info.
But its personal choice maybe you want the large house.

4 bed Villa with own pool at Windsor resorts can be picked up at £603 on Hotelopia after using discount code and cashback.

Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you get cashback and where can I find discount codes? Thanks! :goodvibes :thumbsup2

Enter code 358422 when it asks if you have one, and always use a cashback site for anything you buy not just hotels.
Quidco.com pay 10% cashback for Hotelopia, rpoints.com who I prefer pricematch them.
They pay cashback on most major companies, a good deal with travel insurance is with Insure and Go, they pay 16.5% back on them.
Had over £1,000 cashback in 3 years with Rpoints.:goodvibes

i did a lot of looking around for the villa and thats inc pool heating all taxes and cleaning etc so i was pleased with it. we would prefer villa to a condo as my friend is considering coming but would be last minute so there is room if they do

i still need to sort insurance but d has epilepsy so im not going to be able to do online will have to phone so i cant use cashback sites which is a bummer

Thats the only problem with cashback sites, has to be 100% online. We have never had a problem with Insure and Go their T&C's said you had no need to declare mild Hypertension (what DW has) just got renewal and they have changed T&C's, now it has to be declared, not sure how it will work still hoping to do online. It tells you to proceed with online booking but ring them, so maybe it can still be done online, will try.

Villa will probably be good for you, it just is not our thing, don't like small private pool or making beds, Certainly would not like sharing with someone else:rotfl2: We get on great with family and friends but no way in the same house.

Why not take the Virgin car and get your own insurance from Insurance4carhire.com. Its just £109 for a full years CDW and SLI cover with 20% back via quidco (as above). I have used them last 3 times I have been with the Virgin flydrive car and never had a problem.

The villa does sound on the expensive side for November, try this site for lots of choice,

This is one I am considering for our next trip which would be just £800 for your dates.

amandajim36, you can get your flights to manchester with Virgin flying out the night before, that way you do not have to pay any excess on Luggage, as if it is booked with Virgin your internal flight will honour Virgins baggage allowance. Booking your own flights if you have any excess you will be charged, and on the way home if you book them through Virgin your luggage will be checked right through to Belfast , so you will not have to collect it at Manchester

We usually do this too when booking with Virgin.

oh thats good to know i will ring tomorrow about that. though flybe honour any extra bagage allowance i learnt that on the dibb and emailed flybe to confirm this. they say they will honour baggage allownace on a transfer flight provided it is within 24 hours and u have proof of ur flight

you need to be careful with Flybe ,as we have friends who where told this ,and when they checked in they charged them for being over the limit. Also when they are booked as one ticket through Virgin as opposed to booking yourself, if flights are delayed either going or coming home Virgin will get you on the next flight, but if booked yourself you would have to rebook the internal flights at your own expense
