How does the Shareholder thing work?

I opened my account on line, really easy, no ID required, just had to give details of a current account (not Halifax) to take £100 deposit

That's how mine started also until I received my pin and noticed the account was not activated...

perhaps it was just my bum luck! Hopefully your experience will be better!
:thumbsup2

Confirmation of my membership has been confirmed by e-mail, just waiting for something in the post. I found it all really easy, but I have to admit only because of all the tips on here!

My interent has been playing up lately so I decided to ring - I've been asked to go into a branch with ID - that they can then say I've confirmed I am who I claim to be. I don't have a problem with that and will nip to a branch tomorrow. I can't wait to get the ball rolling properly and get my membership card!!!

So far I have managed to open a share account online and am just waiting on my pin......so far so good.I will be back with many questions once I get it :)

Thank you everyone for all the tips on this thread, I have decided to take the plunge and have tonight applied to open a share dealing account with Halifax.

Hopefully everything will go smoothly and everything will be in place in plenty of time for our visit in November.

Finally got round to buying my shares a couple of weeks ago when Halifax had their free International Trading offer on and got the application posted off to the Shareholders club today - just have to decide when we are going back so I can make use of it!

Halifax site was very easy to use but perhaps that is because I already use their on line banking system - my work colleagues think I am mad for having bought the shares.

Just hope that my application comes back without any problems.:)

Daft question, but assume you dont have to buy through Halifax?

I am registered with Lloyds so assume I can buy through that and then still join ? Or is it a 'deal' with Halifax??

I just registered with Lloyds and put money in the account....not sure what the shares are called, and not sure how to buy them :( any help appreciated :-)

I think the reason everyone has been buying through Halifax is that they are not (at present, let's hope they don't start) charging an annual maintenance fee ~ I don't know whether Lloyds charge for this or not.

This bit is taken from the official Euro Disney SCA website

The Euro Disney S.C.A. share is listed in the B segment (mid caps) of Eurolist in Euronext Paris under the following ISIN code FR0010540740

If I remember correctly it also has the code EDL

Just wondered if you get only one drink and cookie, or could you pop in and out until 12 ?

You can only use it 5 times per month & its one visit per day. You can have as many drinks as you like but they have to be consumed on the premises

Yay, just registered for Halifax Sharesave, got my confirmation email, waiting for my password now.

Woo Hoo have just checked my emails and found confirmation of my membership to the Shareholders club:banana::banana::banana:

I only posted the application form and the copy of my contract note to them on Wed!

Still havent booked another trip yet though!

Woo hoo!! Wait until your card arrives - you'll be danicing a catchy rhythm!! :cool1:

what sort of cakes and drinks are in here?

Its a hot drinks machine, with your usual coffee, chocolate, tea, hot water etc. There is also a fridge with fruit juice and water in bottles.

There are usually huge chocolate chip cookies (which are absolutely delicious) and muffins, sometimes brioche etc.

My DD has now received her email with her number! She can't wait for her card to arrive :yay: and next year she can take me to Salon Mickey for a change!

Woo hoo, I have just bought my shares!!! Everything has gone quite smoothly so far so fingers crossed we will be fully signed up members of the club soon.

Just a quick question, I have a balance left in the account of £15 odds, can I withdraw this or would this cause the account to be closed?

I just withdrew the balance out of my halifax account and transferred it back to my current account, I don't think they can close the account on you.
