How does the Shareholder thing work?

you may be able to buy them through your bank i did it that way. you could also set up an online halifax account as i think they dont charge for an annual maintenance fee.

Ok, I think I may finally be on the right track. Is anyone on here familiar with stock symbols? According to my financial source Euro Disney SCA stock trades under EUDSF (US), whereas in France it's referred to as EDL.FP.

I sent an email to stockholder's assistance for some verification. In the meantime if someone else knows the answer can you please let me know. I need to purchase asap.

I'm still having difficulties with Halifax. Everything went well until they "posted" my ID and now they don't know where it is and expect me to go into branch again to provide it once again...geez.

I must be the only one having this problem. At this rate I'm not sure I'll get the shares bought & shareholder pass in time for our trip in June.

Thanks gavcooper we gave shares to our eldest DD for her 18th last month but she's been so busy with her final college project that there just hasn't been the time to buy them yet. I will make sure she does it in these dates.

Bought shares, filed app with Shareholders Club, spoke with yesterday & they received fax-
Now waiting for temp certificate & (hopefully) card in time!!!!

I'm seriously considernig going for this I'll be going back to DLP in October for 3 nights. I've not got any plans to go again after that but with me it will only be a matter of time before the next trip is planned. I've been to Disney every year for the past 11...(and this yr I'm going twice WDW in June! I'm so bankrupt )

I'm also a big pin collector so I'm hoping that the 10% in UK Disney Stores will be honoured on pins.

may as well act now if Halifax are waving their fee I may go along to the branch with some ID on Friday afternoon. Or is it easier to do everything online?

Unless you already have an account with Halifax, they still require ID. I would start now just in case they lose your ID like they did mine 3x! Earlier done the better!

I have been looking to get shares and had a email off motley fool -

Open a Motley Fool Share Dealing Account today and trade international shares commission free from 7th - 11th June!

Might come in handy for anyone who has left it too late for the halifax one. Looks the same to me (may even be the same account under another guise!) no yearly fees etc.

I did it online and found it really easy, didn't already have an account. Think I set it up then had to wait a couple of days for a pin. Good luck whichever way you decide

Thanks I've decided to go for - realise I'll probably miss the offer but still I'll have the account all set I'm one step closer to owning (a v.small) piece of DLP!!!

I'll purchase the shares next wk, and hopefully have my share holder card all sorted out before my trip in Oct. I read that it could take 12 wks so I want to make sure its all done in good time!

Think mine took only a few weeks from start to finish, including opening the account! Shareholders club sent me temp certificate and later really fast, had the card about a week later

Yeah! Finally received confirmation of club membership yesterday evening & temp letter is in post!!

We are now officially in the Club!

I opened my account on line, really easy, no ID required, just had to give details of a current account (not Halifax) to take £100 deposit
