How does the Quarrantine actually work for DVC members from New York?

State of Hawaii seems very aggressive about the 14 day quarantine and I don’t believe they have close to as many cases as Florida.There was a guy who was supposed to quarantine who went to the beach and stupidly posted pics on social media, he was arrested. I read about a group of I believe 15 who violated quarantine and landed in jail. Who is going to go to Hawaii and sit in a hotel room and quarantine for 14 days? Does anyone know if the quarantine rule is why Aulani is not opening?

I don't know for sure but I would say that's a pretty good guess...

With cases in Florida rising consistently I don’t see How they can lift the quarantine....or not put more restrictions back?

They can lift it just like they lifted the quarantine for Louisiana. But I’m sure they’ll extend the EO for the state of emergency and use that to extend the quarantine for tri-state residents, even though Florida’s numbers are increasing without help from tri-state residents.

That’s what I’m thinking cases are rising without tri state...
So if it’s rising u want to slow things down not kick it up...
My poor DD missing HS graduation / prom and now prob Wdw :-(

I am so incredibly sorry for your daughter. Those are some huge occasions to miss.

I get your reasoning. But they’re rising due to FL residents and everyone from outside of the tri-state. So it would be absurd to continue the tri-state quarantine. But.....

I am just not convinced it won’t be lifted because as mentioned, there are other places that have rising numbers who are not banned,

At this point, I think even if he extends State of Emergency, I reallly think he will end this.

Governor wants the revenue from tourism in Orlando, sales tax, hotel and occupancy tax. He wants the hotels to open. Are the Orlando hotels checking addresses on licenses and prohibiting check in like some South Carolina hotels did from out of state travelers? Don’t know if they are still doing that but in the middle of Covid thought I read something like this.

Will do but again this would be my 3rd time to Florida since the quarantine. The media really makes it worse that what it seems. I havent had a single problem traveling anywhere from south jersey.

Yes..I know people who have visited as well. I am more interested in what WDW does!

I do believe they put out the entire acknowledgement thing and it’s on the guest...honor system type of thing!

No checkpoints, saw New York license tags driving around.
I also want to know if the testing is now finding more asymptomatic cases, as it appears they are now testing “bubble” like firefighter community etc. the news is really really really awful and refuse to give whole picture. Returning home now to MO and MO has been testing all staff in nursing homes kinda sporadically (depended more on what the corporation dictated—$$$) but as more nursing homes now appear to be testing expect a “spike” as they find asymptomatic cases.

Retired people or those who can WFH anywhere who have timeshare weeks to burn! On TUG there is one such couple- 2 weeks in quarantine with gorgeous beach view and the 5-7 weeks to be free! So envious lol

So stressed.... DD going to Wdw 7/12 Graduation present.
so far the stress has been will she get there.

NOW..... Her HS moved graduation and prom to 3rd week of July.
So if she has to “quarantine” when she gets home she miss grad and prom again!

Pretty certain it is a honor system. It's not Disney's order to enforce it is the state of Florida's.

As mentioned in a previous post, consider that if Florida's quarantine expires, NY may enact one for folks that have visited Florida
