I am sorry if this question has been asked before, but I am very confussed :confused3 ..
.I am wondering how the Parent swap thing works?.. all the info I have read seems to only include 1 parent and 1 child...
Are situation will be me, DH, DD8, DS6 and DD(almost 4) The older two will want to ride everything they can, my youngest won't meet the height for alot plus she might be scared etc...
How exactly does this work? Will myself or DH get to ride with the older two, then ask for a special pass or something.
then the other will get to ride with the older 2 AGAIN with out waiting in line again or what? I am confussed if the kids get to ride AGAIN or if it is just for the other parent to go on? and do we ALL wait in line together?
ANY info on this would be GREAT!! sorry this was so long winded

Go up to the CM at the ride entrance. For most rides the CM will give you a "Rider Switch Pass" DH gets in line with older children while you wait with baby. When they get off the ride you and the older children get in the FP line with your rider switch pass. Most rider switch passes are good for up to 3 people, but I've gotten some good for 6 people.

Now, some rides may do things differently. The only ride I've seen stray from this policy is Star Tours. There they make the whole party get in line and parent 2 and baby wait in the outside the simulator doors. After the first parent rides they hand off the baby and parent two rides.

A little advice on specific waiting areas. Splash Mountain and Mission Space both have play areas for the little ones by the ride exit where you can wait. The Soarin wait area is lousy, I take DS3 for a cookie at the food court by Soarin while I wait for DH

We did parent swap A LOT when we were there in Oct 2005. DS is not a thrill rider. DD's loved the parent swap because they always got to ride the attractions twice, once with DH & again with me.

The only word of caution I have with parent swap is this: Only attractions with a height restriction will have a parent swap. DD2 didn't want to do Haunted Mansion at MK. Thought we could do parent swap. Not a chance. There is no height restriction on this attraction = no parent swap. She was crying uncontrollably. CM told her "You'll be fine." Basically had to beg a different CM to get us out of there. My TR (below) goes in to much greater detail about this.

Otherwise - we love parent swap. Have a great time!

We did baby swap too this past week. It worked great and all of us had a great time enjoying the rides.

Thank you momoftriplets! I did not Know that this would ONLY work for rides with height restrictions , but it makes sense.. Ps I enjoyed reading your TR , I always love TR with families like ours (3kids) even tho your are older, I can relate! :)
