How does the Memory Maker work?

So we just switched our package to the free Memory maker discount offer and I was wondering how exactly the memory maker works. We've only done PP and PP+, is it the same idea, do we get a card at the photo place at the front of MK and go from there, or is it something different?

And do you still get a CD of stock photos then download your other photos later like with the PP?

You use your magic band as your photo pass card. No cd you download the images after your trip.

I have heard that you can buy a CD with all your pictures and stock photos for $29.95 after your trip ends before the 45 day photo access cut-off.

We used it in January and like the PP said it is linked to your magic band now. We did will call and went to GS on our first day to activate it. After that it was as simple as tapping your band after your photo was taken. You can pay additional for a CD but all your photos are in MDE and all you do is download them to your computer and I had them printed at SAMs club.

What is the "free Memory Maker" package you are referring to? I just added Memory Maker to my stay a couple of weeks ago (I'm arriving on 4/29 and leaving 5/7), but I had to pay the $149. Is there some coupon code or something? I saw the Mousesavers offer, but it looked like you had to go thru a travel agent - I had booked my whole vacation online thru Disney website -- and not sure if it was applicable to our resort (Cars Family Suite @ Art of Animation).

Any info appreciated, thanks.

It's a discount floating around. If you already have a discount in your reservation you'd have to pick one or the other.

Once you activate it by downloading your first photo you have 30 days to add any more photos.

I just booked a room only plus free mm offer on the Disney website starting mid-June (below rack rate too), I believe 16th and beyond. But, I've never used it so still learning.
Others are talking about using it beyond the activation date? We are doing a split stay at the same resort so we can get this offer. When I check in under the first ressie, I want to try get my mm from my second ressie and activate early, will they let me do that since it's not good just for the days of your stay anyway?
