How does the Memory Maker 'know' we are on a ride?

I know it's a dumb question but I am seeing how you get videos of you and your family on certain rides...

Do you have them scan your bracelet at the end when you see your picture??

I am confused!

At the end of rides with photos you will be prompted to scan your bands or card when the picture is up on the screen.

I'm pretty sure they have long range RFID readers now. No need to scan. They scan you, so to speak.

We came back last week and used memory maker, no need to scan your band, it will read you are on the ride, all photos were on the memory maker within about an hour or two.

The long-range RFID readers read your magic band. You don't need to do anything.

They do need to do some tweaking, we ended up with a few pic's on our MM that were not us from Buzz Lightyear Spin from 2 weeks ago, think it happened both times we rode. Hope the right people ended up getting theirs.

sorry but I'm hopping on this thread asking will the ride photos show up on your photo pass? if you have the magic band and stay on resort i saw memory maker you get access to all photos for 1 price but I've gotten mixed signals which show up on just photo pass

That was our experience 2weeks ago.

We did not purchase Memory Maker. All our pictures showed up in the Photopass website when we went there
