I keep reading about having to put your things in a locker before going on the
rides. Is it for every ride? Does that include small waist packs? Where are they located and are they free? Please give me the scoop on how this works.
Are there lockers always available or do they get full and you can't ride until
you find one? Also are there regular lockers located in the parks to store stuff and go back to later on when needed like at Disney? :scared:

thanks for the tips.

Yes there are lockers you can store your stuff in for the day but don't remeber how much they charge for the day.
never heard of the wrist pack but don't think you would have to store that but you have to store stuff like backpacks , video cameras basically any items that they feel will fly off the ride and hurt someone or cause the ride to mess up and the lockers are located out side the rides and depending how long the wait times are for the ride they are free and anything after that you get charged and if they tell you something has to be stored then you won't be able to ride until it is stored

It's a pain in the a** if you ask me. It took me a ton of tries to get the fingerprint thing to work again, and I saw an employee helping tons of people get into their locker.

No. It is only for MIB, Hulk, Dueling Dragons, and ROTM.

If you mean a small hip/fanny pack, then those are allowed, as long as they do not interfere with the rides' restraint system. They should look like this or smaller and must have the 3-prong clip:

Lockers are located near the attraction entrance. They are free at Hulk, Dragons, MIB, and ROTM. Most require a fingerprint scan. Go to a rental point (computer), touch the screen, choose your language, and follow the instructions on-screen. When it asks you for the scan, GENTLY place your finger on the scanner. This is critical. Jamming your finger on the scanner will cause a Bad Scan. Return to the same computer station and re-scan the same finger to unlock your locker. If you go over the allotted Free Time, it will ask you to pay.

At attractions where there are lockers that ask you to pay first, they charge by the hour. Just get a bag from any gift shop and put your stuff in the bag. It's safer and more cost effective.

This RARELY happens. When it does, it's usually not for long. There are always people putting stuff in and taking stuff out of lockers, plus there are a lot of free lockers, so it's never more than 15 mins (usually 5 or less) if you have to wait.

Also are there regular lockers located in the parks to store stuff and go back to later on when needed like at Disney? :scared:

Yes, and they are located at the front of the parks.

Glad to be of assistance! That'll be $8 please, paypal preferred. :p

THEY DO!!!Last month was a perfect example.Going to ride ROTM, had to stow our stuff.OK sounds easy.We got a code,we try shutting the door,it wont shut.We try again it does. Now @ this time the code resets.Anyone that got that locker would of had access to our cell phones, camera etc.

Yes I have a small Kipling hip/fanny pack. I love using it for touring the parks.
It is very easy to carry important items and have your hands free.

thanks guys for all the information. It is very helpful. :thanks:

I did not do the quote thing correctly. Not sure what happened. I was trying to quote The Dark Marauder

duh!!!

:thumbsup2 You did, just got someone else posting the same time.
Were kinda crazy over here..

The easiest thing to do to avoid the lockers is to not bring stuff into the parks that you would have to stow in the fanny packs. I always wear cargo shorts and don't have to fool with the lockers at all. I know some people can't leave stuff behind but when you don't have to fool with lockers, it saves time...just a thought. :thumbsup2

::yes:: ::yes:: I need too wear my cargo shorts!!!Good Idea(DUH).

I guess I will wear my hip pouch so I can bring my camera and cell phone otherwise I wouldnt need a bag at all..

I just came back from universal. We have always gone in the summer and beleived that the rental is free for an hour. WRONG!!! We ride MIB and come back and it says we owe $2. Well my money is in the locker. I go to the attendant and after waiting a very, very long time, someone shows up. It is now saying I owe $4. I tell the guy, there is no way I am paying. He politely says he wasn't going to charge me. What I found out is in the slow season when rides are around 20 minutes long, the rental is only free for 30 minutes. So later that week we go to Hulk and the line states 30 minutes long. So I go to attendant and say I am not going to pay if you make me put my stuff in the locker and the line is over 30 minutes long. He tells me that the they adjust according to the line. So after 40 minutes we get back to locker and it states it is free for one hour. So long story short, make sure you look at the how long the free period is when you do the finger scan. They do make you put in fanny packs.

The same thing happened to us last week, we always got back on time, but I was thinking, if it is slow, what does it matter if they just leave the 1st hour free now matter what? Since it is the slow season, there should be plenty of lockers available. Anyway, when we rode Dueling Dragons on Saturday (May 17th) the lockers were free for an hour and a half. We didn't need it, (we were on site at the time) but I had never seen that long of a "free" time for lockers. This was the first trip where we really used a locker, as this was the 1st trip where I took a camera that needed a case that I couldn't fit in my pocket. Plus, now I have my better half riding all the coasters. :lmao:

If you were riding and your locker says you owe something, just ask the attendant. They will not charge you if the wait time is longer than the locker rental.

If you do end up paying, do you need quarters? Is there always an attendant
there to help/guide people?

You go up to the attendant where the line is and tell him you need help and he will send someone over.

They do make you put in fanny packs.

I have worn a fanny pack on every single trip - several trips a year, never shorter than a week, going to the parks every single one of those days.

I have yet to be asked to put my fanny pack in a locker. I have been asked to move it to the side to accomodate the restraint bar at Mummy, but I have never been told to remove it and put it in a locker.

I do believe that Dark Marauder is correct in stating that they are allowed as long as they are small and have the three prong clip.
