How does split stay check out and luggage transfer work?

So excited to arrive tomorrow for a re-scheduled trip from last summer!

We have two days at Pop Century; and then are trying a new resort for us - Coronado - for the next 5 days.

How does it work for the transfer between the two resorts? Do we need to let either/both resorts know? I've been told that our luggage will be transferred - do we leave it in the room, or take it to Bell Services?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, as well as any tips for our Very First Stay at Coronado! Thanks so much!

If things still work as they did pre-Covid (and I expect they are), you would take your bags to Bell (or have them pick them up at your room) at Pop, tell them they need to go do Coronado, and they'll take care of it. They send them once a day, so they might not be to Coronado until 3:00/4:00 that check-in day. You can pick them up at Bell at Coronado - or make arrangements at Coronado to bring them to your room after you're checked in there. It works great - we've done it a few times. Have a great trip!

Just as thanxfornoticin said, take your bags to bell at the first hotel, tell them where you're going (they probably need to scan your band IIRC to sync it up with your reservation), and they'll take the bags. Go about your day, then pick them up at CSR - they may not be there until early evening.

One tip I've heard (and will be trying this trip) is to call Bell the night before to schedule the pick-up if you know when you'll be leaving in the morning. Otherwise you are taken in-turn, and they can get backed-up. But if you know, for example, that you will be leaving to head to DHS at 9:00 am, you can ask Bell to come get the bags at 8:45 and they're generally pretty punctual about it.

As for CSR - enjoy it! We stayed there for the first time last winter, after only ever doing values before. Pop was our home resort until the Skyliner went in (my partner's afraid of heights), and the "step up" to CSR spoiled us a little. My few tips:
* Request to be in Casitas if possible. It's the first bus stop on the way to the parks (and the first stop coming home at night). We never had any issues with buses, but if it's crowded any advantage can help. It's also a really nice location: not far from the pool or food but quiet and convenient.
* Make the Tower lobby your first stop. Especially if you're used to value-level resorts, it's just gorgeous.
* Be sure you check the hours on food places, because they're still running kind of wonky/short hours due to Covid. That was the only thing we didn't love about the resort when we were there.

Have a great trip!
